OMG what a utter failure.  Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Lehigh county-- all I got was a light shower of less than .05. Talk about a fast disintegrating squall line. As soon as it hit the Blue Mts, it was done for.  Totally unbelievable. It just does NOT want to rain anything harder than a light shower right now. It was just enough to make the pollen stick like concrete on the cars. Car washes are going to love this tomorrow.

Nothing to rinse the pollen, it's time for the pollinator as in pollen everywhere

I was in State College at the time of that Line going through last night. It was absolutely wild and impressive. At the time, I thought it had a chance to make it over the mountains all the way across the state as it still had good form even exiting the Harrisburg region. It just wasn’t meant to be for the Lehigh Valley.

PHL finishes April with a 56.6 avg temp, which is 2.6 degrees above the 1981-2010 average. PHL is on track for a 5th straight spring with well above average temperatures. For the 2024-25 season, PHL finished with 8.1 inches of snow, which is the 7th time in 9 years (dating back to the 2016-17 season) that PHL finished with below average snowfall. 2017-18 is the only season in that timespan that had slightly above average snowfall, while 2020-21 had near average snowfall.

OK Mt Holly, what do you guys have to say about this 40 degree diurnal temp change today?  Woke up at 38 degrees this morning with a projected high of nearly 80 degrees? Wow have not seen this range in temps in a 12 hour time frame in a very long time on a nice day.  Definitely living back in the CA Mojave desert environment in eastern PA from my younger days.

Today and tomorrow will be warm and humid with highs well into the 70’s with some spots touching 80 degrees if we see enough sunshine. Rain chances to increase tomorrow and will last through Tuesday. Not a wash out but some beneficial rains look to be on the way. We should see some drying by Wednesday, but some shower chances look to continue.

GFS/NAM around .25" through mid afternoon Sunday then the bulk falls late day into Monday 1.25" additional

RGEM .75" total southeast PA through Monday ouch

So…. Euro had 10” a few days ago and what I’m seeing the percent starts at 90% then drops to 80% the drops to 60% then drops to 40% then drops to 30% then zippo.  This has become tracking a winter storm like looking for a needle in a haystack.

NWS last night had heavy rain here for 3 days see about that!

Guess it depends where the front and storm get stuck.

Think someone said a few pages back hope the rain stops by next Saturday!  Can’t stop if it doesn’t start.

also nice to see the Southeast Ridge Bermuda high in place like it’s mid summer damm lightning bugs brought it I’m sure.

ECM is 1-2" through Monday then an additional 1-1.5" in scattered showers through the 7 day most of that on Tuesday

Much improved forecast from a couple days ago now mostly Monday and Tuesday as cloudy and wet

thundershower with gusty winds 25-30 mph now.  Not severe but a nice t shower Need much more.

I am just a few miles away from you and missed that first thundershower by literally 1/4 of a mile. I got a subsequent brief heavy shower a bit later for a quick but paltry 0.13”. Should be lots of opportunities to see good rain totals this weekend.
