Yeah would have been perfect ugh. We had some decent squalls move through pregame though was pretty cool I got a good video of one.

It’s absolutely dumping at my house. Easily an inch an hour probably close two per. Just eyeballing 2 inches already. PURE FLUFF. Not even an advisory smh and NWS even acknowledges the band will remain nearly stationary.

3-6” tonight? Keep this up for 2 hours and we’ll be at 6”!!!

Good for you Dev! You suffered enough up in the northtowns like I am currently (although it’s not in the radar but it is snowing moderately from time to time) to deserve a nice surprise. Hope you get a foot

Radar trends show the band off Lake Erie has intensified during
the past hour or two, likely due to an increase in mid-level
moisture and a longer fetch due to the southwest winds. These
conditions will not change much until late this evening when
wind shear increases and winds weaken. Model QPF guidance is too
far south with this band, so adjusted accordingly. Since the
band should maintain through around 10 p.m. had the confidence
to issue a Winter Weather Advisory for Southern Erie county. The
band should generally remain in place through 7 p.m. then may
meander slightly north between 7-10 p.m. before weakening and
moving south after that. Greatest amounts expected to be
centered somewhere near Hamburg, with impacts extending across
the Southtowns this evening. Expecting 3 to 6 inches of snow
accumulation in most persistent snows. As typical with lake
effect snow, this will be localized.

My observations of relocating to Cicero NY as my main place as opposed to Long Island

WOW!

First I am confused how Channel 3 NBC and Channel 5 CBS ( Syracuse channels ) share the same met Peter Hall during these channels same respective news slots

Final snow depth from our nice little snowfall in Cicero was 3.5 inches

My wife and I went to the fairgrounds today to get our booster.

After driving three miles from exit 30 (rt 31) to around exit 27 I went from snow cover to nada

Imagine had I bought in Brewerton, Mallory or Central Square. ( National Grid does not provide natural gas past a certain point and that was key)

Anyway, like Peter Hall as a weather authority though have to find out why he is on 2 channels

Hopefully a couple of inches tomorrow into Thursday

Nice!  Talk about a blown forecast on this lake band tonight.  KBUF missed it… Mesos missed… that’s why as frustrating as it can be with the lack of snow, the surprise events are great.  Went from less than an inch to a what’s looking like a warning level snowfall.

The RGEM is the only model that had it. Look at post from earlier today.

Measured 3.3" so far here.
