Family back home in Waycross just said it was just strong winds and a lot of hail. I was sleeping and woke up to them panicking about that PDS warning. Scary stuff especially when it hits in your hometown.

It may have hit other parts of the city though. There are pictures on Twitter of a tornado just outside Waycross but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Normally don't see hail cores this strong in SE Georgia. Pretty impressive

KJAX radar has shown reflectivity up to 78 dBz with hail up to 3.5". I think their radar is running a little hot.

Since the heart of Darien is north of the name on the map, hopefully the most populated areas are spared

Edit: Looks like it's turning a tad north now...? I'm not sure anymore

Wording is confusing.....they're talking about a PDS tornado situation  but then say radar indicated rotation as source rather than radar confirmed.

I think it's a boilerplate/template not getting updated.  They've sometimes said radar indicated even while the text says Law-Enforcement-reports ...

A ton of energy behind the big MCS blob for those AL cells, and they're moving into heightened helicity areas. Would not be shocked to see some tornadoes south of Birmingham
