Then started slushy snow/sleet mix around 1 PM, and light snow through evening. Moderate snow around 9 pm or so, then heavy snow all night and wind gusts to 40 mph all night. Solid 12-13” blizzard over here. Only time in my life I’ve seen a rain to snow storm produce so much. There have been a few early season rain to snow storm, but usually only a few slushy inches here. This one was moderate rain to an all out blizzard. Amazing February 25-26 2010

I ended up with 35 inches. 35 miles east of me in Danbury it rained much of the storm and I think they ended up with around a foot. NYC with 21 inches.

Cut to 2026, +3, little discomfort, but distress is through the roof.

I think I had 28”, it’s the biggest for me too but that snow though…a heavy wet mass with destroying power. Speaking of power, I was down for almost 4 days with that storm, bought a generators after that fiasco.
