I'm holed up through the weekend at a cabin on the Independence River in the western ADKs.  Same snow depth here as at home (2-3 feet!).  Drove across the northern Tug to get here - typical insane snow depths in and around Barnes Corners (3-4 feet plus?).  

 

Here's a shot of the Independence River this evening as snow was beginning to fall.

...BAND OF HEAVY SNOW CONTINUES TO DROP SOUTHWARD FROM LAKE
ONTARIO...

AS OF 909 PM...THE LEADING EDGE OF A NARROW BAND OF HEAVY SNOW
EXTENDED ROUGHLY FROM NIAGARA FALLS TO WATERPORT. THIS BAND WAS
SINKING SLOWLY TO THE SOUTH...AND WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF
NIAGARA AND ORLEANS COUNTIES THROUGH 10 PM...BY WHICH TIME ITS
NORTHERN EDGE SHOULD BE REACHING THE FAR NORTHERN SUBURBS OF BUFFALO
AND THE ALABAMA SWAMPS OF GENESEE COUNTY.

AS IT DROPS SOUTHWARD...THIS BAND WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE SNOWFALL
RATES OF UP TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR...ALONG WITH NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES
AT TIMES.
