NYC Weather Lover
Boy, this is such hype. Just read the description. Jeez, anything to get ratings these days...I mean...I can only imagine what the average person (who knows nothing about weather) will say: "oh my god it's a rare summer phenomenon, we're gonna have 20 degree temps and really frigid air...get the winter coats out" http://newyork.cbslocal.com/video/10357435-return-of-the-polar-plunge-summer-edition/

Just say an anomalous cool shot is coming with temperatures well below normal. The coolest highs will probably be in the 60s near the lakes, maybe upper 50s. A better way to describe this would be to say its a fall like shot of cool air.
Dan76
Today is the first day I've heard the cicadas for our annual season. About normal. Usually starts by mid July +/- a week. Seems a little early actually. They started about a week ago here.

REDMK6GLI
It will look like Detroit in a few years Outside of the casinos and the shops its already does. Bunch of crackheads momma's and prostitutes working the streets at night, gives some of the worst parts of NYC a run for its money IMO. showboat and trump ive noticed havent really bought in the crowds every time ive gone down there, however when i stay at harrahs it is always crowded and its not even on the boardwalk. So revel (only matter of time before that officially goes, showboat and trump are going, thinning the crop down there for sure!

Speaking of cicadas, those periodical ones last year destroyed the tops of a couple of birch trees in my backyard. Probably 75% of the smaller branches at the top of one tree are dead. Guest Pamela
Maybe you should just save your money. Maybe you should just mind your business...I doubt you would want anyone else offering you unsolicited financial advice...which I highly doubt was offered in a friend to friend style...more like one dripping in condescension... Guest Pamela
OT... my parents need a landscaper to clean leaves and brush from their yard and pool area. They live in East brunswick. I know there are a bunch of you landscapers in the middlesex county area. If you can message me your name and number i will have my dad call you for an estimate. Guest Pamela
With the prison labor industry booming...one wonders if Rahway State now does out calls. With about one in every hundred adults in this nation currently behind bars...you have a pool of cheap (really almost free) labor that inevitably draws comparisons to the Antebellum South...people sometimes forget that the 13th Amendment does have that so-called exception clause for those duly convicted of a crime. When did he hire you as a lawyer? I think I'm giving him sound advice by telling him he should save his money as opposed to wasting it away on gambling. I would think my opinion on the matter is the correct one. In fact I know my opinion is the correct one. What normal person tells someone to spend his money in a casino? You think I made that post to somehow hurt him or two help him realize that maybe its not such a hot idea to blow his hard earned money in a place where the house always wins? Your posting history reflects a long history of looking down your nose at those you consider less intellectually able than yourself...so your motivation for the post had far less to do with saving Anthony money than it had to do with the satisfaction you would subsequently derive from behaving in a smug, superior fashion.
