So go figure... splitsville here. One to the east and one to the NW and alot of thunder and ligthning in the back ground. Neighbors must think Im wack.  I put 5 good thick padded blankets on the car to prevent hail damage and they go around.

That cell east of Danville over top of South Boston looks very ominous. Sky is pitch black with a tint of blue and green.

Look like the storm near Dunn is going to ride I-95 through Johnston County. That's little too close to home...

Looks like it's going to ride up or to the East of 95. Clayton's gonna miss out on this round, I think. Four Oaks & Smithfield might catch it.

Hail params are looking rather decent...

With PWATS around 1.3"/Decent lapse rates...I wouldn't be surprised to see some interesting hail reports from this event (IE. covering the ground)

there are some reports of that already not so much large hail just lots of pea to nickel size stuff but the slow movement is letting it pile up....

Im surprised to see more storms firing up west of here back towards GSO and south considering the storm band of storms that came through earlier.

Usually the atmosphere stablizes after a strong band.

But they're strenghtening because more and more thunder is popping.
