Ian Posted December 6, 2013 Share Posted December 6, 2013 Got a EOS Rebel T3i with an extra 75-300mm lens for under $500 total (incl shipping/tax). Couldn't pass it up. A better camera would have been lost on me anyway.They take as good of pics in probably 95% of situations anyway. A lot of the change at higher levels is body build, manual settings no one uses and other bells. One thing I'll say about the Mark II is it somehow survived being held in the open during the derecho after falling out of my bag so it's a solid camera. Not sure id try that on a cheaper body. I think Nikon and Canon are basically the same cameras with different labels. Most people just get locked into whatever their first SLR is given the lenses.
