Hoosier
IND now has temps above 90 for IND for the next week. Too bad the streak was broken by that 89 degree day.

Hoar_Frost
Amazingly, with some clearing in the past couple of hours (and perhaps the front pushing poleward), it has gotten to 99 here.

hawkeye_wx
I don't know if Cedar Rapids hit 100 before it fell back in the last hour, but Iowa City is up to 103. Dewpoints have been falling into the upper 50s to low 60s in southeast Iowa as well, aiding the temp spike.

Hoosier
Hope it rains. I'm tired of it. For us, 1934/1936 might be the only years left standing in terms of more 100 degree days by the time it's done.
Chicago WX
For us, 1934/1936 might be the only years left standing in terms of more 100 degree days by the time it's done. You aren't calling for 13 more 100º+ days (to beat 1936)? I'm a little surprised.

Chicago WX
We're gonna need like 4 days per round if we're going to break the record. And three days of 110º+...you know, to not cheapen it.
Hoosier
And three days of 110º+...you know, to not cheapen it. lol, yeah. 18 days of 100s that year. That is almost incomprehensible.

Trent
While perhaps a bit unimpressive considering the temps elsewhere in the region, yesterday CLE had a high of 98 with a low of 76. That gives an average temperature of 87 which is the 4th warmest day since records at the airport location (1940s).
snowlord81
00z NAM has LAF around 102 tomorrow. If clouds and precip hold off longer than today it could be another 100 degree day at IND. I doubt the .24 inches of rain they received today is going to hold back temps much. NAM shows 101 here, but just to the south where clouds hold off it gets up to 104-105. Today kinda was a waste of what would have been an easy 100 degree day. 99 by 11:42am then the clouds moved in. Oh well.
