Saw nice storm here in northeastern Summit county in northeast OH. Tornado sirens did go off as a funnel cloud was spotted about 10 miles south of here. Saw 50MPH downburst winds and about a 5 minute period of pea to dimed sized hail. Intense lightning and power still flickering. Not quite severe but impressive.

CLE is not on the ball with getting warnings out ahead of this line, a 40 mile stretch of the line had no warnings on it for 2 minutes until CLE finally put out another warning along and ahead of it. Not a huge lapse but I feel like they're falling asleep over there.

I'm in east Akron. Had maybe a 40 mph burst when the gust front hit. Just raining and thundering here now after sitting in a cold pool current for a while. Judging by the convection upstream and hi-res models we may be in for at least another round of strong to severe storms unless cells farther south pool together. The biggest threat is probably from the main line overnight, which I think has a marginal chance of bringing more severe storms.

That's a pretty cool map. What's the deal with using green station wagons as markers?? They could at least break out some Ford Pintos or some 1976 Chevy Impalas.

For those who aren't familiar with storm chaser live video feeds, I'll keep it simple by saying a majority of storm chasers are using this system thanks to a buyout a few months back.

In a more detailed sense, TVN (tornadovideos.net) and their streamers/stringers have been using this system for a few years now. The company which produced and manages this product, Weather Decision Technologies (WDT) bought out ChaserTV back in March and began integrating imap with chasertv chasers, at least those who elected to go with the new system. The result is a decent majority of storm chasers who stream live video are using this product, the imap.

The atmosphere is pretty worked over between here and that main line, but a strong LLJ and 500-1000 J/KG of MUCAPE might support some strong to marginally severe storms overnight.
