  1. Yeah even though it’s 44 here it feels great in the sun.
  2. Shorts, sundresses, and sandals across Connecticut next week. We love to see it.
  3. Would definitely prefer a temp bust of 61 at home vs the torture of the last few months. I’ll at least be able to get some hoops in after work.
  4. I’ll take it, but yeah not the best temp forecast.
  5. Yeah to Pope’s point viz is showing low level clearing in western CT. It’s coming. Next week looks phenomenal here. My solar panels rejoice.
  6. Still a little early, but we’ve had a run of preseason tropical development. Western Atlantic (minus Caribbean) remain warmer than normal but sea temps are far from warm. Nino should put a lid on things but an early enough start to the season may allow for some action. Can’t believe we’re close to the season starting.
  7. Worthy of a bump, as Ian was upgraded to a Cat 5 during that explosive period of intensification just prior to landfall. Landfall intensity was high end 4. Ian and Fiona were retired.
  8. We’re in a slump. No other way to put it. Nothing interesting statewide in quite some time.
  9. Yeah, usually we’re talking about clearing and it means scattered cumulus lol.
  10. The clearing looks legit. Might be able to salvage a solid afternoon.
  11. He is definitely in a better spot--at the very least he'll see some stronger storms before they hit Death Valley this season. That said, it's early, and I don't expect much today here. Around here my goal usually is to just get positioned well enough to get good lightning shots. Those have been hard to come by, but every so often I get a good one.
  12. Now that the self-imposed exile is over, I can post. Never even got close to opening this thread after that post. Heisy--I knew what was coming lol. George--I enjoy tracking storms. I have no interest in chasing ghosts. It was a bad winter here. It happens. Better luck next year.
