  1. 67 here and 75 in the forecast tomorrow. Soaking up this beautiful day with bacon wrapped brats on the smoker. It’s very rare we get these days this time of year with NO wind.
  2. Tagged 72 yesterday, 65 today and another 70+ tomorrow, as cyclone alluded to, another warm spell looking likely next week. mentioned it another post but Aleks wad call almost a slam dunk.
  3. Yeah, your WAD call looks accurate. Another stellar day in the Paign, 60 and sunny, virtually zero breeze.
  4. first burn of the season. Absolutely raw day with a high of 37 with winds doing work on the trees at 35mph. Local news said this could be the coldest Halloween in 100 years, narrowly missing 1917. Gonna warm my bones with chili and ipa next to the fire. Happy Halloween everyone
  5. I’ve spent the weekend chopping wood for the wood burning stoves, still tons more to chop. Winter is quickly approaching, and those roaring fires in the dead of winter are glorious and worth the labor. Raw day, and a very very cold Halloween on tap.
  6. 29? wow. 36 here, had frost yesterday morning. I love sugar maples, but I love Japanese maples even more. Beautiful trees.
  7. At least we are shaking up the Nina pattern that we have been stuck in. We know for a fact a strong Nino at minimum, can it reach super? We shall see.
  8. Autumn is in full swing. Warm first few days, possible 90s in the sub then our first cool shot later this week. Forecast has a low of 40 Sunday night. Not much in the way of precipitation, as things are drying out once again.
  9. Little over an inch in the rain gauge, kinda nice to have a true autumn feeling day, love a grey overcast day once in awhile. Harvest is in full swing, I noticed even beans are in full harvest mode too. Ready for our first wound up October system.
  10. Top shelf day as the NFL season kicks off. Smoked pulled pork nachos and IPAs waiting for the bears game. Harvest is around the corner, and the days are getting noticeably shorter.
  11. yep noticed that as well. T minus 4ish weeks until we get that first true autumn cold front, although with a potential super Nino, who knows how this autumn plays out. regardless, I’m ready for deer chili, football and jeans/sweatshirt weather.
  12. Curious to see the expansion of the drought with another round of heat and no precipitation.
  13. We kiss met summer goodbye tomorrow, and what a summer it was. Flash drought, heatwaves, and the infamous 6/29 derecho. Really fun summer.
  14. Fascinating how gulf hurricanes always coincide with tranquil and sunny weather in the lakes.
  15. My family is near Anclote River. I appreciate any analysis.
  16. Not here for analysis, but just wanted to send a thank you to all Mets and chasers. The wobble east seems to have been corrected more NNE now.
  17. I have family just north of north port richey who are refusing to leave, hopefully they are fine. Idalia has been wobbling east. Has me worried.
  18. In all honesty hardypalmguy isn’t wrong to post these, Labor Day and early September in general in the last decade has been prone to very hot spells.
  19. Wall to wall sunshine for the foreseeable future, and possibly another hot Labor Day weekend. I have no precipitation in my extended until Friday, September 8th.
  20. That is absolutely insane. 85 dew has to be a record? 97/80/118 here
  21. Low of 53 tomorrow then mega heat cranks next week. Virtually zero precipitation in the forecast for 10 days. End of August/beginning of September has been a hot bed of hot temps in recent years. I speak for all when I say a strengthening El Niño is a welcome site after years of La Niña.
