    In all honesty hardypalmguy isn’t wrong to post these, Labor Day and early September in general in the last decade has been prone to very hot spells.

    Wall to wall sunshine for the foreseeable future, and possibly another hot Labor Day weekend. I have no precipitation in my extended until Friday, September 8th.

    Low of 53 tomorrow then mega heat cranks next week. Virtually zero precipitation in the forecast for 10 days. End of August/beginning of September has been a hot bed of hot temps in recent years. I speak for all when I say a strengthening El Niño is a welcome site after years of La Niña.

    Drought in June, and now things are lush green. Amazing.

    Another 1.2” of rain yesterday. Everything is as green as it has been all summer, who would have thought?

    The most brutal winter of my life. Historic arctic outbreaks, 11/17 tornado outbreak, polar vortex blizzard, Thundersnow, multiple winter storms. Man 13-14 was legendary.

    Just a reminder in 60 days or less snowstorms can strike the northern plains. Look no further than the epic blizzard in the Dakotas 10/3-10/5/2013.

    Tuesday is August 1st and summer continues to fly by at a rapid pace. Cooler than normal start to the month is forecasted as well. Apple orchards are opening, and soon pumpkin spice everything

    Per KCMI obs dew is now 81.

    Need to go back and look but this might be one of the hottest days by heat index standards here in quite sometime. KCMI just reported 92/80/111 my dad on his weather station 20 miles from me has 94/80/114 EDIT: I’m thinking maybe since summer 2011. I seem to re call I had a 81-82 dew point with a 96-98 temperature. Hmm need to look at that. My pool is 87 degrees lol
