There was a Sasquatch movie that came out when I was 10 or 11 that scared me to death. It re-enacted supposed encounters. I used to go to the movies most Saturday afternoons and just remember not being able to sleep that night. Lol

Yeah, that was me, I think. I’m definitely worried about a short season. It’s a curse, we get snow and things are good but I’m always worried about what comes later. I need to just enjoy the present first.

Wasn’t there a poster on here who was going to spend a weekend there recently? As I recall, he didn’t talk about it much.

About an inch here too. And I agree, it’s been a nice wintry stretch.

I saw -30 on a bank thermometer (always known for their accuracy) walking to school in Barre, VT in 6th or 7th grade. Stopped at Dunkin Donuts and got a hot chocolate and had the same spill experience as the poster above. A couple of years later heard a radio announcer say it was -40 in Randolph, VT. That was in the way to school too, the bus driver had the local country station playing.

Not skiing but this was the first weekend that widespread snowmobiling has been available and I can’t remember the last time I saw so many people on the trails. It was crazy. And I only got about 10 miles from home before we had to limp my buddies sled back home.

I’m driving up to Presque Isle Sunday. Will ride from there Monday and Tuesday the. I go to Caribou for more riding and some snowmobile association meetings. Looking forward to it.

Add to this winter for him the fact that the Eagles are going somewhere that the Cowboys can’t really even imagine anymore and it’s been especially hard on him.

Watch a short doc on VT PBS about Mt. Snow’s first 40 years. It was made in 1995. Pretty interesting

Looks like another inch or so in the afternoon squalls. Roads got pretty crappy.
