  1. .74" so far today here. Some thunder and lightning along with the rain rolling through right now. Drove through some heavy rain on my way back from the periodontist in S. Burlington. 40 mph with the flashers on between Waterbury and Middlesex.
  2. It’s not though. Play stops All. The. Time. It takes half an hour for the final 2 minutes of a half or game, there are constant commercial breaks and the replays take forever. Think about it, it takes over 3 hours to play a game with 60 minutes of playing time. Even that 60 minutes only contains like 11 minutes of actual play. The only way that it’s even half bearable is sliced and diced to take all the extraneous standing around out.
  3. It’s been years since I’ve watched an entire nfl game. Red Zone has brought me back in some. There are way too many play stoppages and they have just about neutered defenses. At least the Red Zone cuts out all the useless BS.
  4. U2 Live at Red Rocks is one of greatest concert films of all time.
  5. .31 so far. Drove through some pretty heavy rain on my way up to Williston.
  6. I used to like him until he filed for divorce right after his wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor. https://fox59.com/news/entertainment/albert-pujols-files-to-divorce-wife-of-22-years-days-after-she-had-brain-surgery/amp/
  7. Ironically, I don’t think anyone in VT would ever describe BTV as a “mountain town”.
  8. 38° outside and 60° inside. Closed the windows too late. Turned the heat on to get the house up to 65°
  9. Doesn’t Alex have small kids? That would play into my decision.
  10. I know a lot of you guys have visited VT for skiing at places like Stowe or Killington, spent romantic weekends in hoity toity places like Woodstock or spent time on the shores of Lake Champlain sipping craft brews. You’ve never really experienced the real Vermont though unless you’ve gone to the Tunbridge World’s Fair. Held in one of the most picturesque valleys in the state, it still has strong agricultural ties. It’s the last fair of the season in VT and this year it’s celebrating its 150th anniversary. It’s a place where you see a real cross section of the state. Woodchuck farmers who come off the hill once a year, organic hippies, Dartmouth professors and anything in between. It was a beautiful night for Italian sausage and kettle corn and the place was packed.
  11. 43.1° for the low here this morning. Was breezy and cloudy too.
  12. Wow. I was in Waterbury at the office today and they had showers on and off most of the afternoon but nowhere near that much. Only .07 here.
  13. Depends on what I’m doing. Working on trails, it jeans. I don’t need ticks or scratched up legs from brush. Playing golf or doing light yard work and it’s the outfit you described.
  14. Last nights picture was the moon outside our hotel room, this morning it’s a loon. Not sure if you can see it but he had a fish in his mouth.
  15. Island Pond tonight. Was much more red when it started rising.
  16. I’m up in Island Pond. The view from our room is pretty seeet tonight.
  17. I was really surprised at how good Jack Russell still sounds. Of course he walked to the stage with a cane and basically sat on a stool and didn't move around much. His band was pretty meh but his voice was strong. Ironically, the other Great White was playing the same night in Lancaster, NH. They probably have the better musicians but weaker lead singer. Warrant was surprisingly good. I was never a huge fan but I can't fault their show. The band was really tight, the sound system top notch and the showmanship was strong. Best show of the night. Dokken was a huge disappointment. Don Dokken can't sing and could barely move around the stage. The sound guys were awful, the guitar was mixed too low and the bass was mixed way too high. George Lynch came on for three songs at the end of the set and while he can still shred, it was not enough to save any shred of respectability. People were streaming out after just a couple of songs.
