  1. @eyewall's shots don't seem oversaturated at all. They seem to better capture what I see with my own two eyes than my iPhone 8 does. This was a pretty great year for color. I think we are past peak as the leaves just keep raining down but it was great while it lasted.
  2. And don't forget what the impact this has had on the long-term rental market. Why would you want to tie your place up for a single, monthly payment when you could get a steady stream of income without the headaches that come with being a landlord. My solution is the gondola up 108 to the resort and then through the Notch down to Jeffersonville. You would have several stops along the way and it would be a year round tourist attraction. Now if I only had the billion dollars and the legal firepower to get it built.
  3. Hmmm, I wonder if something is amiss at MVL
  4. Because they're a Led Zeppelin knock off?
  5. 27° here and raining leaves here too.
  6. This is behind the Waterbury State Office Complex. The hill are basically foothills of Camel’s Hump.
  7. I live in a town called Graniteville. There are giant piles of waste granite all over, leftover from the quarries. My lot was built up with the same stuff. I always think about the reaction pioneers must have had when they got to the Midwest. Just to realize there was flat ground that wasn’t filled with rocks had to have been like witnessing a miracle.
  8. I saw them so that at the old Montreal Forum.
  9. I get scared just looking at people doing the Knife’s Edge. Just nope my way away from that. A couple of years ago we snowmobiled around the park on the Tote road. Such an amazing mountain. Awesome vertical relief.
  10. Leaves near peak down 89 into NH. Getting there near Concord and early here in Hampton. Traffic backed up on northbound 93 from somewhere in Concord all the way to exit 7 where I got off onto 101. Holiday weekend traffic. Glad I was going the other way
  11. I saw AC/DC play at the Centrum. Hell of a show.
  12. I’ve always felt colors popped more on gray days.
  13. I call BS. That road is never that empty this time of year.
  14. I’ve never been to Fryeburg Fair but I’ve always wanted to go. Unfortunately I’ve been working the grass drags the last few years and that’s the same weekend. One year I’ll get there.
  15. How much rain has there been in your area? I have an event in Fremont this weekend and I’m hoping it’s not going to be a mud pit.
  16. Not sure you should talk about him like that. Mental health is a private matter.
  17. There needs to be a aerial tram from the village to the mountain with a couple of stops along the bike path to access businesses and lodging. Cheaper and more environmentally friendly than road expansion and better than shuttle busses. Edit: Lol. I do this all the time, respond before I finish reading the entire post. I just got excited by my brilliant idea.
  18. Nice to see you checking in. Are you still recovering from knee surgery? We hit 28° this morning. We had been fogged out of frosts earlier so straight to hard freeze for us.
  19. Got down to 28° here. The previous lowest of the season had been 34° or 35° and I hadn't noticed any frost so straight to hard freeze for us.
  20. Gets dark early in the deeper valleys. This was around 6:00 pm. The foliage is starting to get going.
  21. I think you’ll be ok. To me, it seems a little delayed. But then again, I always seem to think it’s slow or dull and then one day I look out and everything seems to have exploded in color.
  22. I know I don't want to see it in any meaningful way. Not for any superstitious reasons just from a logistics standpoint. I still have stuff to do outside and accumulating snow is just a hinderance for that. I'm fine with flakes in the air though.
