Preliminarily ... a medium impact partial Miller B, Friday
mreaves replied to Typhoon Tip's topic in New England
Added an additional 4” overnight. Brings me to 17.75”. I have had about another .25 since then so I’m creeping towards 18”. Seemed like it was easier snowblowing this morning. Glad the stuff at the end of the driveway didn’t freeze solid overnight. -

Early PNS from BTV. The 10.9 from the NWS employee a 1 SW E Barre always tracks closely with my measurements and makes me feel a least a little legit. I haven’t measured yet this morning but it looks like another 6”-7” since I measured at 11:30 pm. VERMONT ...Addison County... And on his way back tomorrow, he can stop and help me clear my driveway and yard. He’ll get the entire winter experience! -

I was thinking Nirvana Heart Shaped Box -
8:00 pm measurement was 3.75” on top of the 6.75” I measured at 2:00 so 10.50”. There was a several hour lull but it seems to have picked up again. BTV had my area at 10” up to 15”. Looks like they hit their mark.

I think there has been about 2” since I measured. Snowblowing was tough. It absolutely beat me up.
-
6.75". Hopefully we can keep it going.

Here is a picture of Rt.9 in VT from east to west Marlboro Searsburg Woodford Meanwhile in Bennington And yes, I know the Searsburg and Woodford shots are probably blanks but the Woodford one at least has what looks like the outline of a structure -
Add that to the list of reasons I dislike that place. Lol
-
When I woke up around 6:00, it looked like there was maybe .5" but it was snowing at a decent pace. Just went out and measured and there is 3.25" on the board.

The tech center is technically a separate school. I believe the outlying towns bus their kids to it.
-
That’s it. They do accept kids from towns like Chelsea, Washington and Orange. There isn’t any busing though. We drove my kid and picked him up all 4 years. He walked home from Barre Town on the bike path but there really was no safe way to walk home from Spaulding because there is no sidewalk or bike path up Quarry Hill.
-
When I was in grades 2-7 I went to school in Barre City. There were 5 or 6 neighborhood schools that went up to 5th grade, a middle school for 6th-8th and then the high school. Everybody walked to school or maybe their parents drove them, though that was rare. There were no buses and schools never closed. I’m not trying to sound like old cranky guy, it’s just the way it was. As you mentioned, now kids are trucked from a much wider area, it makes transport that much trickier. 20 years ago or more, Barre City closed the neighborhood schools and built a consolidated K-8 school and now buses kids. They have snow days now. And I understand it.

Speaking of BTV, they’ve upped our max potential. Here is their latest map.
-
I like it when they do interesting stuff like that.

I remember that too. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember where the newspaper articles were from
