  1. March 68 was a great month. Some really awesome people were born during that month.
  2. That's the best part of WFH. I will say though, I took a new position in an entirely different department and there are some days that I feel like I'm struggling to really learn the new stuff. Phin mentioned it above, it can be difficult for newbies.
  3. I believe so. They aren’t mine but I’ve seen ones like them and thought they might work for him.
  4. Is the fence just for the garden? Try something like this with the raised beds.
  5. A Canadian company called Taiga is doing a press event for their EV snowmobile. They’re bringing in press from around the country for test rides. Originally they were going to do tomorrow through Saturday on the Notch but now it’s only going to be tomorrow up there because they were a little concerned about backcountry skiers, snowshoers etc. the rest of the days are now going to be down in the Cotton Brook area. It’s all going to be capped off with the governor giving a press conference in support of recreational EVs. This is the first time time Taiga has brought the sleds to the US. They were originally going to do this out in Tahoe but VAST talked them into staying much closer to their home base of Montreal. It also helped that their head marketing guy used to spend time in Stowe with his grandfather. I was there today to help them scout the locations. It was hella cool riding through the Notch.
  6. I can attest. I was up in the Notch a good part of the afternoon. Left around 4:00 and things were getting a little sketchy. Seemed like 1.5”-2” by that time.
  7. Do you think China is holding back so they can learn what the global reaction is and then build systems to isolate themselves?
  8. Good luck. I guess if you had to miss a ski season, this wasn’t a bad one.
  9. The White House squashed that pretty much as soon as Zelensky suggested it. https://www.businessinsider.com/psaki-rules-out-no-fly-zone-over-ukraine-2022-2?amp
  10. I think it’s a game they’re forced to play though. It’s probably too late for Ukraine but they can’t afford to let Putin think it’s going to be easy to roll the rest of them.
  11. I haven’t read the whole thing but this seems to be a pretty even handed assessment of what’s gone on so far. https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-february-28-2022 Edit: Thanks to @A Moonlit Sky for the original link to this.
  12. It’s only Zelensky calling for one to be established only to be immediately shot down by Jen Psaki. (Shot down, see what I did there? )
  13. Lol. As soon as I posted that I went to the Reuters app and that was the story at the top of the page.
  14. Yeah, that doesn’t seem to be the greatest move. I haven’t seen it reported by anyone though.
  15. I'm not sure. Cagey ex-KGB guy must have thought about all the possibilities
  16. Read some Tom Clancy novels like Red Storm Rising or The Hunt for Red October. We always avoid nuclear annihilation and the US comes out on top. Real feel good stories
  17. That's also one of the reasons Biden didn't raise our level of alert. That also makes Putin look even more like an aggressor
  18. The other thing is, what do we really know? I don't exactly trust all the rah rah Ukrainian reports but that's to be expected. The Russians aren't really giving any reports
  19. I'm sort of thinking along those lines as well but, I'm not sure they were expecting the response they've received from the rest of the world. It's unified a lot of previously fractured parties.
  20. Shockingly, FIFA comes to the correct conclusion. Not without some pressure though https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/60560567
  21. Well, people here do laugh but it doesn't seem to stop them from going insane.
