  1. @ORH_wxmanis the RBOB, crack spread expert around here. He has always had some good input regarding oil prices. There was an interesting price split when I went to fill up today. Most stations seemed to be in the $4.24 range but there are a couple of full service/garages that are closed on Sundays but you can still get gas using their pay at the pump. Those places were $3.99. I imagine they'll be upping the prices as soon as they open tomorrow morning.
  2. Yes, he goes to Bolton a lot. It’s located between Waterbury and Burlington. It has the only night skiing of note in the state. Lots of school programs go to Bolton.
  3. It’s scary. Even a rock star can get a stadium full of people chanting. It’s like people just get sucked into the energy.
  4. A sizable percentage of Americans seem to want that too.
  5. That’s why Sunday sucks so much. I went riding in northern New Hampshire today. Trails were good but thin. Beautiful day to ride though.
  6. See my post above, it’s straight up terrorism.
  7. The fire is in a training building. Not that you want a fire or military engagements of any type at a nuclear facility but there has been no increase in background radiation. https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/top-wrap-1-europes-largest-nuclear-power-plant-fire-after-russian-attack-mayor-2022-03-04/
  8. Because Putin is a terrorist. We can argue about NATO/EU encroachment on Russia’s bubble but you can’t argue about the tactics. Unfortunately, the longer the Ukrainians hold out, the more likely he is to go full Chechnya on them.
  9. I read an article today about the Ukrainian defense industry. Apparently they are pretty advanced and have been supplying the Chinese with weapons for quite a while. Edit: here is a link https://mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKCN2L00VI
  10. If I was building a house, I would trade square footage for spray foam, the hydronic in floor heating, a propane powered whole house generator and other efficiency upgrades.
  11. 3" overnight. It makes me feel even worse about what is in store for Sunday
  12. Was surprised to look out and see nearly 2” new
  13. March 68 was a great month. Some really awesome people were born during that month.
  14. That's the best part of WFH. I will say though, I took a new position in an entirely different department and there are some days that I feel like I'm struggling to really learn the new stuff. Phin mentioned it above, it can be difficult for newbies.
  15. I believe so. They aren’t mine but I’ve seen ones like them and thought they might work for him.
  16. Is the fence just for the garden? Try something like this with the raised beds.
  17. A Canadian company called Taiga is doing a press event for their EV snowmobile. They’re bringing in press from around the country for test rides. Originally they were going to do tomorrow through Saturday on the Notch but now it’s only going to be tomorrow up there because they were a little concerned about backcountry skiers, snowshoers etc. the rest of the days are now going to be down in the Cotton Brook area. It’s all going to be capped off with the governor giving a press conference in support of recreational EVs. This is the first time time Taiga has brought the sleds to the US. They were originally going to do this out in Tahoe but VAST talked them into staying much closer to their home base of Montreal. It also helped that their head marketing guy used to spend time in Stowe with his grandfather. I was there today to help them scout the locations. It was hella cool riding through the Notch.
  18. I can attest. I was up in the Notch a good part of the afternoon. Left around 4:00 and things were getting a little sketchy. Seemed like 1.5”-2” by that time.
  19. Do you think China is holding back so they can learn what the global reaction is and then build systems to isolate themselves?
  20. Good luck. I guess if you had to miss a ski season, this wasn’t a bad one.
  21. The White House squashed that pretty much as soon as Zelensky suggested it. https://www.businessinsider.com/psaki-rules-out-no-fly-zone-over-ukraine-2022-2?amp
