@Ginx snewxwatching the news report on this now. 30 cars involved, one death and 7 injured. Part of 89 northbound still closed. Nasty accident, had to be terrifying. Your wife was involved in a big one a few years ago wasn’t she?

I believe it was pretty close. BTV had also mentioned great lift in the 600-700 zone indicating some pretty good ratios and rates. They called and were consistent with there predictions despite wobbly model runs. If you look at the PNS I posted earlier, my county of Washington had some nice totals early. And it looks like we will do pretty well with finals too.

11.75”. 6.25” at my 1:30pm board clearing and 5.5” at my 7:30 clearing.

I measured 5.5” when I cleared my board at 7:30. My first clearance was 6.25” at 1:30. I measured 2” at 7:30 am but left that until the 1:30 clearing. This the closest I have ever come to doing an “official” type of measurement, with the clearing every 6 hours. So 11.75” so far. There is probably the .25” I need for a foot out there but I’ll wait til morning to figure that out. Overall, a nice event and an over performer for me.

I never used to have a board to measure on either until I got the weather station last year. I needed a place to mount it and when I decided to use shelf brackets, I grabbed a piece of white shelf too and figured it would work as a measuring board. I need to get a new board though because stupid me didn't think about the weather disintegrating the piece of MDF shelf. Anyway, I took that picture about 3 hours after I had cleared it.

So far in VT. I'll note that the NWS Employee at 1 SW East Barre reported at roughly the same time I cleared my board and had the same as I did. I have a friend who’s 27 yo daughter is moving to Presque Isle this summer. Her boyfriend bought a concrete casting company up there. Even though she grew up in rural, northern Vermont in a town of 800, she’s in for a bit of a shock I think. Presque Isle at least has the college. It’s not often you see twenty-something’s moving into that area.
