  1. There are videos showing how to do it. I’m hoping it’s not too bad because I get frustrated easily too.
  2. It is pretty good. I think I paid $357 for the AC, including tax so its a pretty decent percentage of the purchase price for this unit. It's funded by an "Energy Efficiency Charge" on our power bills. So I guess I'm just getting some of my money back. I think I got a $50 or $75 rebate when I bought an Energy Star rated dishwasher too.
  3. When I googled Midea U shaped AC it popped up at the top. The State of VT has a utility company that is solely focused on energy efficiency. They give a pretty big range of rebates on appliances, HVAC products etc. I got an $800 rebate a few years ago when I installed a hybrid water heater.
  4. Was going to attempt that too but when I got home last night, my son showed the rare spark of teenage ambition and mowed without me asking. I guess I never told him my plan.
  5. I remember you posted a link a year or two ago. I think that was before you could actually get them. I’ve been planning on getting one ever since. I hope it lives up to the hype. The reviews are good.
  6. I just ordered one of these. It should be here Tuesday. I'm not ready to get mini-splits yet and this seems to be a better version of window AC unit. Plus it's eligible for a $100 rebate from the state's efficiency utility.
  7. I read this quickly and thought you said that you had emailed the Ukraine. I thought to myself "I think they're probably a bit too busy right now to get back to you."
  8. So you're telling me it's still worth something?
  9. 5 teeth?! Holy crap. That sucks. I have to have some periodontal work done and I’m not looking forward to it.
  10. That’s a pretty decent haul up Rt3 for you isn’t it? As for 45 acres, it’s pretty big in the context of forest fires up here, I think. I can’t remember a lot of bigger ones.
  11. Still nothing here. Spent a good part of each day outside this weekend doing work around the house and playing golf and its been bug free.
  12. Even better than yesterday. Less overcast and slightly warmer
  13. Nothing here yet. My golf game was the only thing annoying tonight.
  14. It's a delicate balance for me. If I play too much, I can lock bad habits in, if I don't play enough, I never get into any type of rhythm.
  15. Played our first Tuesday night informal league tonight. I played well through 6 holes. I birdied the 6th to be +2 and then proceeded to finish triple-bogey-triple and shot a 9 over 44. I consider myself a bogey golfer, my handicap is 15. If you told me before we started that I would shoot a 44, I would have been fine with that, especially for the first real time out. The way I got there really sucks though. At least I won money.
  16. This is true. The other week, I pulled into a parking lot across the street from a building at the same time a fire truck pulled up. I noticed all the strobes, alarms going off and people coming out but couldn't see anything. I figured it must be a false alarm. I walked around the other side and then I saw a garbage can on fire underneath the covered drive through area of the building. Just goes to show you it's always better to evacuate instead of speculate.
  17. 67.8° for the high off a low of 28.9°. Almost a 40° diurnal range. Sweet day.
  18. Ground covered here. Ironic since I'm having my tires swapped this morning.
  19. Played 9 tonight. Didn’t keep score as it was my first time out. I was by my self and the course was empty so I hit multiple balls on a lot of holes and generally just practiced. Hit the ball well for the most part, putted like crap. The greens were slow and shaggy. I always figure the reason I’m not completely awful the first few times out is that I’ve forgotten my bad habits over the winter. Unfortunately, I have a good memory and those bad habits are sure to return.
  20. And not very interesting. i know, I know. It’s a dad joke but give me a break, I’m a dad.
  21. Ah, so you kept the cabinets. Smart move.
  22. I like the bottom better but the top is nice enough for me to have saved even more money by keeping it.
  23. If I remember correctly, that was North Haven.
