  1. Done in Germantown with about 1.5 which is pretty disappointing compared to the 3-5 forecasted. Looks wintry though and the freeze up begins
  2. WOW congrats! Just 20-something miles from here. I have about 1.5 with mod snow
  3. I would be ecstatic with that! Maybe expecting a little bit of pivot with the bands? Mod snow and eyeballing about 3/4 inch. This stuff really stuck to trees which looks beautiful
  4. Bah! Do it tomorrow morning - that game is gonna be fun Mod snow and a good coating; still at 35
  5. Light/mod snow and 35, starting to coat the grass a little. One window next to the TV faces a still snow-covered area so it looks good looking out that one Radar trend and the new meso put out is looking nice for the northern tier of MD
  6. Surprised to see LWX double down and hold snowfall amounts. I thought for sure they would cut in half the way things look. I hope they are right but I don't expect more than a coating to an inch Light rain, 38
  7. Do it! Some years ago in a similar set-up, I drove just 33 miles from Germantown to South Mountain park and went from a slushy coating to 5 inches on the ground with cottonball sized flakes. Even Frederick just 10-ish miles away only had an inch or so Currently light rain and 38
  8. We'll see but that 12z HRRR looks like what I'm expecting, 1-2 inches in central/upper MoCo
  9. Temp rose all night to a toasty 38. LWX still saying 3-5 in my area (Germantown) but I am expecting rain to snow with a max of 2"
  10. Just NE of Germantown I've gone from 33 a couple hours ago to 36 (elev. around 550)
  11. That rookie QB is special. I can't believe my (now deceased) Noles beat him twice Clouds moving in and 32 degrees. I'm looking forward to some big cottonball flakes tomorrow!
  12. Careful on sidewalks! Despite therm showing 33 our sidewalks are iced over and I almost bought it walking doggie just now
  13. I am rooting for Terpeast's map to verify! Would be beautiful for central MD 37/33 under mostly clear skies (hope we stay clear most of the night)
  14. Steady rain and 34. Pretty good little slug on radar - too bad it's not snow
  15. Yep! We had very heavy snow with a foot on the ground at 11 degrees. In PD1 in Calvert, the first few inches fell with temps in single digits and was still in low teens as the blizzard got cranking.
  16. I'm looking for this to look like a nuthin-burger until the last minute when it turns into a surprise 2-4 like last January
  17. I grew up in northern Calvert and got shafted many times while occasionally getting the jackpot (for example Blizzard of '79). Getting a few inches of slush then driving rain and spiking to 50 in the March '93 storm was the last straw. When I got a fed gov job, I picked the N&W burbs and settled in Germantown in 1994 My fam are all still there and have fun with me when they win - like the 12 they just got. They had a field day with me on Jan 25, 2000 when they got 20" and I got 7!
  18. The last round was nice in Germantown adding about 2 to put us in the 7-inch range
  19. Yeah it was a nice period of snow, moderate at times, and dropped an additional half inch Hoping the vort moving thru WV overperforms, especially for the northern half of the area
  20. Been snowing good for a while now just NE of Germantown. There was about 5" when I cleared the driveway before this band and it has added about a half inch
  21. Very nice! Parents in Owings just measured 8" snow depth Germantown around 5" with light snow grains, 25 degrees
  22. In a lull in Germantown. Beautiful out with 4-5 on the ground. Mom in northern Calvert said 6" an hour ago and they have nice returns heading in (as long as it's not sleet). Little contest going with my dad who predicted 6" total for Owings last night while I called for 11
  23. Eyeballing 4-ish near Germantown with lt/mod snow and 24 degrees. About to take our 13-month old dog out for her first ever snow!
  24. Light snow with a dusting in Germantown under that band stretching from northern Ann Arundel to across northern MontCo. 28 degrees
