    I think we will see that north shift. We have to see if it comes true.. I mean, the trend this year, unfortunately, has been systems not getting wetter and better for our backyards in Loudoun.. I would like to see that different this time. I would rather be the northern edge than the southern edge

    That does bring some pause because I feel the Euro has been very wet ahead of systems recently, only to back off as we get closer. We want to see a steady or increase in the amounts as we approach.. for now, at least we are seeing an increase!

    Last night, I was about to put out the trash for the trucks today, and it was close to 11 p.m. in Purcellville. The weather winds were gusting like crazy for a bit. Later, I saw a Marine warning posted for the tidal Potomac. It was pretty wild, as I measured a 40mph gust, but my station misses gust maximums, and I am pretty sure we had some close to 50. Here was that wind surge looked like on my Weather Station. I waited until this morning to put out the trash .

    Timing and that 50/50 all becoming bigger factors.. if this slows we are not going to maximize snow. I think Friday also holds some weight on how the 50/50 works out! Give it time.

    Well, nothing is settled here.. But the trends of consolidation and a clear outcome are out. If today's dud is a harbinger for poor forecasting, I am going to be even more skeptical than ever.

    I remember that sleet storm well. The sleet looks like sand when it got slightly dirty. It was very tough to plow.

    The GFS knows how to make us weenies happy, but it does not know how to hold the predictions.. Lol. That looks too good to be true

    Rain and sleet turned into a nice snow burst here. As it comes down, it is trying to cover mulch and grassy areas! Loving it!
