  1. Dropped to 31 earlier this morning. 2nd latest freeze on record, only behind November 25, 1931.
  2. We're dreamin' of a White Thanksgiving.....
  3. TWC/Weather Underground wants to hold off on Thursday's system until late afternoon/evening.
  4. Umm, it helps if you actually posted posted 24-hour snowfall map of that run instead. The majority of the snowfall total on the 12z GFS is for around the beginning of December. 12z GFS: 18z GFS: Filtered sunshine today, but it's going that be that kind of a week when sun will be hard to come by this week.
  5. Clown maps on the latest runs for Thursday. 00z GFS: 00z Euro: 00z Canadian:
  6. TWC/Weather Underground is pushing for a long overcast stretch that lasts not only through this weekend, but at least well into the weekend before Thanksgiving. Days of rain and days of suicide weather ahead. The pattern is starting to resemble that of November 2018, November 1992, and January 2024.
  7. 12z GFS and 12z Euro also lost the cold. On the 12z GFS, the first freeze looks to be now pushed back to the end of the month, putting the latest freeze on record in jeopardy.
  8. Almost dropped down to freezing this morning. Lowest temperature so far this Fall is 33.
  9. No signs of a first freeze throughout the first half of the month and perhaps beyond.
  10. It looks as though we'll have to wait until at last mid-November for the first freeze. Today's 12z CFS run wants to hold off on the first freeze until the final week of November. Latest first freeze in Dayton is November 25, 1931.
  11. Halloween is wet/rainy/snowy? Bad sign for winter.
  12. Looks like a day or two of suicide weather to start the workweek.
  13. Got a total of 2.83" from the cutoff low and Helene's remnants over the final weekend of September. Very little more rain looks like likely to close out the month. Otherwise, looks like the dreary stretch will continue into the beginning of October until this pattern breaks at the middle of this week.
  14. The remnants of Helene have arrived today as it merges with a cutoff low. Here's to a long crappy final weekend of September.

  16. Did sneak in one more 90-degree day earlier before the clouds rolled in. That's it on the 90s for the year. Looking like a pretty dreary stretch incoming through the week. Gonna be ugly.
  17. Hit 93 again today. Last day of the September heatwave and looks to be the final 90-degree day for the year.
  18. Next week's going to be a wash. If we're going to be active all next week, we might as well have a cutoff low because GFS is hinting it during a good portion of next week into next weekend followed by potential tropical remnants around the end of the month.
  19. Models hinting a blocking pattern over the weekend as soon as the remnants of TS Francine arrive and stall through early next week, resulting in what's going to be a pretty dreary stretch. GFS 12z: Euro 12z:
