  12. Good morning everyone. Accuweather shows snow in the forecast from the 6th through the 9. They show a summary of projected daily conditions. They are calling for a possible 10.3 inches snow total for the 4 day period. I check it daily to see the evolution and changes. It’s only from what I’ve learned ( at least to the degree that I can understand ) from the professionals and well versed board members that I am able to explain to my grandson the accuracy of long range forecasts. For that I thank you all. Stay well in 2025 and after. As always. …
  13. Thank you Layman and DIT also. I remember my mom dropping one on my dad and me in the early sixties; “a rolling doorstep gathers no grass”. She said it slowly with conviction. My father tight lipped trying not to laugh left quickly. I on the other hand, being a smart alec high school senior. went hysterical. I got out of there quickly, though not quick enough to escape the shoe that followed me. Mom’s aim was deadly. Thanks again for stirring my memory pot. As always ….. .

  20. Good late morning MCJ. S19 posted an hour ago in the Weather forecasting and discussion section. He’s a well versed contributor and well worth reading to keep a balance. He is post limited so he will by necessity be selective on when/where. Stay well, as always …
  21. I commiserate with you N and W. …. Thats why I live by the axiom “Good things come in small packages” There’s another one I could use but then Rjay and/or Bx would have to step in. As always ……
  22. Agreed CPcms. My postage stamp also seemed to have greater depth. Although my measurement was visual and I kept all my yard windows tightly sealed. I try not to contribute to the UHI effect in my small inner city space. Stay well. As always ….
  23. Hello Liberty. I was a college freshman and I believe a 4+ inch storm occurred either on the 23rd or 24th 1964 or 5. As I am nearing the end of my 8th decade and the event I am recollecting occurred 6 decades ago …. It’s probably as reliable as a present long range forecast. Nice to read your posts again, as always ….
  24. Poetic license approved, nicely done. As always…..
