  1. Not “out”.....but “virtual”. I know......same difference .
  2. In other news......I heard UT hired a new football coach.
  3. I know!!! And what’s even more surprising is all the local people I know that are making a big deal of this “non-event”. Schools delaying/closing, etc. for basic a bunch of nothing!! .
  4. The way it feels right now in Knoxville......the remainder of Winter 2021 can kiss my rear-end!!! Bring on spring!!! This is like the cute girl making eye contact with you, and maybe a little smile. You get excited for a brief moment, then get slammed back into reality.
  5. Nice Jeep!!! It’s just all depends honestly. That ride was in Royal Blue, on the west side of I-75. That area is mostly forest roads/trails.....some mud/dirt/gravel....and a few river crossings. The water can get deep in a few places. The east side of 75 of Royal Blue can be a bit more “wild”, and plenty more opportunities to damage your ride. I’m like you in that I don’t want to damage my Jeep, so I stick to the trails that I’m comfortable with. I’m still pretty much stock, other than put 33s on, as well as Rubicon take-off springs/shocks. With that being said, I’m comfortable on SOME trails at Windrock, but prefer smaller groups of like-minded people that don’t have dedicated trail Jeep’s. If you want to get out and hit some roads/easy trails, look on Facebook for Smoky Mtn Jeep Club. All of their stuff is super easy and fun. This pic is from the overlook at Windrock. .
  6. You are correct!! I call that exit the Scott Co exit......even though I know that’s wrong. Just like I still call it Lake City instead of Rocky Top!! Pretty area up there......you are very lucky to live in that area. .
  7. Yep!! We were!! We came in from the Scott Co area, off exit 141 .
  8. Went on a Jeep ride at Royal Blue today (about 15ish miles north of John). We were about 2,600 feet elevation and had to turn around. Trail was getting waaaaay too treacherous. Temps were about 28, and WINDY. .
  9. It was 2015. First winter in our new to us home. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Because it's the "Valley Warm Nose" effect. Probably....don't know for sure. Haven't looked at models. Feeling slightly jaded after getting nothing in this last round.
  11. Todd Howell on WBIR just showed the in-house radar changing to snow in Knoxville around 6am, then quickly switching back to rain. I can’t remember which model their radar is based on. .
  12. Hey......I’m down in Fountain City....so between the three of us we have Broadway/Maynardville Pike obs covered!! .
  13. Stove......did you know that kid is from Coalfield...right up the road? I sent the same GIF to one of my employees in a text and she replied back that she went to HS with her!!!
  14. So basically just like last year, and the year before, and the year before that, etc....... .
  15. Until that inevitable storm front comes through and blasts all the leaves off like an industrial mega-leaf blower
  16. We went through the tunnel a few weeks ago and the water was high then. A couple friends were talking about going this weekend - so I shared your video of the bridge to hopefully make them think otherwise!!!
  17. @Holston_River_Rambler I would LOVE to see how flooded Nemo Tunnel is right now!!!
  18. Current water elevation at Norris Lake is 1,003 ASL. Full pool is 1,020. Here's the predicted data over the next few days. It's risen two feet since 3am, so I would venture to guess these estimates may be on the lower side.
  19. And the wobbles Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
  20. Heard on the radio that Norris had opened their gates, but had part of a dock get stuck in a spillway. Edit: cleared and spilling from all three gates Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
  21. Loved the play by play commentary!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. You are correct. That whole area around Kroger and McDonald's is flooded. And the car repair place at Highland and Broadway. There's a creek that runs through there, but can't recall the name of it at the moment Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
