  1. Past hour
  2. Going to be borderline even up here, euro looks a little better than GFS at a quick glance for that system. Looks and feels like last January out there right now, about 6 inch pack at the house in the valley, hit -1F this morning, nice squeak under your shoes when you walk. Love it. Now let's avoid last Januarys complete whiff depression
  3. Beautiful out there! Solid dusting. Coming down at a light to moderate clip here at the Columbia/Elkridge line. My kind of morning.
  4. Tends to in the other direction, as well...that was one of the issues with my work prior to last year...I really neglected the WPO, which is an egregious error because it's very important.
  5. Now all that’s left to do for today is take my online chem exam in 15 minutes then go on a walk with my hopefully more than a friend in the snow on grounds
  6. I’ve got a dusting and that band is trying to make it up here. It wouldn’t last long but it has legs.
  7. Definitely a tough 'local' forecast, as I had to give guidance for guests here on whether to stay overnight last night and then risk driving down twisty icy roads this morning (for an early morning drive to ATL), or just get a hotel down Asheville for an easier/safer start.....they elected to get the hotel. Forecast verfication - Temperatures got down to 30F at top of Bearwallow Mtn, just 700 ft above me, so there was definitely freezing rain/ice up there, and it still 32F there at the moment. However we managed to bottom out at just 33F here at the Thunder Mountain Compound, and so it is just wet and foggy outside....
  8. Wow! I do not think that you are that far from me, but I can, at least see a little white on our deck chairs covers.
  9. Phil, would you be able to make it out to Worcester for a few hours this weekend or next?
  10. Yeah this is pretty nice....not terribly heavy but moderate enough to make an impact
  11. There's at least 10 accidents on 270 in moco according to google maps.
  12. RIC reported a 2" snow depth at the 7 am ob, so by that point at least 1.5" had fallen. CLI won't come out until around 5:30, although it's possible AKQ sends a PNS with a total before then. The daily snowfall record is 4.2" from the 12/5/2002 snowstorm, so that remains safe. Earlier, when I mentioned breaking the record, I unfortunately used 12/6 instead of 12/5. Nonetheless, not bad for early December.
  13. If we make it to mid-month without anything substantial, then I'd worry.
  14. You certainly had the right idea of things falling well short of expectations. Wind and clouds just never cooperated. Low of only 22 here. Looks like 21 at MDT.
  15. For a minute there that thing looked like it was going to get pinched out in the direction of the camera guy at 200MPH.
  16. Only got to 24 at home and 23 at work. Assuming cloud cover kept it from dropping any further.
  17. Could this be another winter where down south somehow does better than us? Starting to feel that way. We clearly are punting this so called great pattern for the first half of the month. Idc if it's early December and we usually don't get anything. When you have a pattern like this you better capitalize. Hoping Xmas time can somehow deliver for once.
  18. @NorthArlington101Hope this suffices for my UVA pictures from this morning
