  1. Past hour
  2. This year is probably anamomolous but still I think it's climo kicking in just a little to offset the off the chart activity of the past couple decades. The world's basically on fire. It's only a matter of time before there are more catastrophic hurricanes to track. Although science isn't necessarily logical it doesn't seem far fetched that in a warming climate there will be more wild swings in activity and volatility. It wouldn't surprise me if there wasn't some Bay of Campeche monster later this fall just when everyone was ready to close the blinds.
  3. I’m yep, was over before it began.

  9. .07" For Saturdays rainfall. 4 miles back in the old hood, .49" Have one more line of some decent rainfall almost to Durham county now at 1245am Sunday
  10. latest 03 HRRR reduced precip amounts west of NYC from previous runs - parts of central and north NJ only get a couple tenths of an inch - probably will change in future runs
  11. It was close to normal here, but it didn't seem like it. Never a good sign when your high total for the year for all of SNE is 51" in Gloucester, RI.
  12. Is it worth talking about the thing that's all over social media? Six inches of rain around the 22nd from the remnants of a hurricane that only the GFS is showing.
  13. I actually believe they'er probably having a cascading effect myself. These are some video stills from a walk back from my fishing hole a little over two weeks ago. It's not just a few trees along the enola load grade trail, there's thousands of trees covered in lantern flies, honeydew and soothy mold like this.
  14. This system is the equivalent of a January cartopper.

  16. Yeah the storms are disappearing as they get to central PA as is usual for the entire year. I just expect that now with any storm system I see lol
  17. Spotted lanternflies are also playing a role in that too. My parents have a few trees in their front yards that these things love to swarm and feed on and its insane how much dew they deposit that ends up turning into mold and other tree infections if you don't take care of it right away. It really weakens the health of these trees to the point they'll die in a couple years eventually if there's no action taken.
  18. Looks like a kind of split screw setup-the heavy rain area over Central PA maybe hits the I-84 area, then NYC/LI has to see what happens with the heavy rain area further south near DC. Between those areas probably ends up with little.
  19. ...wondering if you can perhaps provide one of the Jackass Moving Van Lines trucks to pick up a large amount of acorns and then deliver them to a specific location????...
  20. Its bacterial and fungal infections that are starting to defoliate some species of trees and plants early.
  21. Wolfies words ring true in these situations.
  22. Nam is a nice Steiner away from S coast. Both 12k and 3k.
