I want to try those fake dragonflies on a wire and tape them to my hat and around our swimming pool. Supposedly they deter the fuckers. -

Breslow will get help. -
If you get under one of these cells, it's intense. I received 0.64" of rain in 15 min from a cell today. Also, some of the mesonet soil moisture probes are showing fully saturated soils. For example, our flood sensor on Cabin John Branch at Bradley Blvd showed a 5 foot rise in 40 minutes on Saturday. If that storm over Potomac persisted for another 20 to 30 minutes it would have been real trouble. This absolutely justifies the flood watches, IMO.

It’s pouring again in Marysville now. I got .47 rain from the shower earlier today. Please make it stop…

We have everything right now...skeeters, black flies, noseeums, deer flies, you name it. I think they may have mutated into a single optimus prime like species. -

BDL has 2 days BN this month and that's with the sensor fixed. ORH and CON both with only 3. CON had a min of 49F one day and the day was only a -4F . That goes to show how hard it is to get BN these days. -
Bust day 2 for storms. Plenty of thunder around me but no storms on me

That's their jam. W MA has had a lot of precipitation at the wrong times the past few years but our dry periods have timed well with regard to stinging/biting insects. This year there are more mean pests than the past few but my Vermont friends have been chirping loudly about them the past few weeks. -

Only thing we have here are greenheads but that’s more at the beach. Other than that it’s just the mosquitoes. - Today
