  1. Past hour
  2. Not a drop of rain. And the cloudy 68F day that was forecast ended up completely sunny, humid 80F. How i despise this area.
  3. I am paying 50 monthly. 5 dollars a month for all the domains. I dropped my pay sites so it isn't a problem. If anyone wants to donate they can but its free for all. I don't know a site that has all the features I have on the facing page with zero new pages opening to view data and will update as requested or if I want something else to add. Build your own super ensemble wether short or long term.
  4. .81 here and .57 in the woodyard. Stein is dead.
  5. There is actually one paper that suggests that AI-generated headlines may garner greater attention. https://www.mdpi.com/2673-5172/5/4/110 This concerns me. My worry is that sometimes the actual nuance is lost in the AI-generated content. As a result, even as the headlines might be catchy, those headlines could be somewhat inconsistent with the content. That creates a credibility gap (which already occurs with "clickbait" headlines). I am not aware of research on that aspect of AI usage. I remain an advocate of AI, but suggest that one should beware of its knowledge limits (pre-training) and working context. The former can lead to an inability to analyze novel situations, extreme outcomes, etc., e.g., it's no accident that physics-based models remain superior to AI when it comes to forecasting extreme events. The latter can impede the quality of the AI's output even as subsequent models have grown better at following instructions and understanding the user's goals/intent. Overall, AI can create stunning visualizations/infographics. I use it at work for just that purpose e.g., creating graphics for presentation slides. I still need to verify the output as every now and then, things need to be tweaked. AI can also assess the strength and weakness of arguments and help identify "blind spots." I don't believe AI should be used to generate all arguments, much less as a substitute for human judgment. That's the case even as there are more advanced features that can also be applied, an increased capacity in AI coding (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) and sustained work that can be carried out through agentic AI. Finally, these are my opinions. Others may well disagree with me.
  6. Ever Notice TouchTiger never shares links or assists anyone. Never says thanks when someone posts pay per view or answers his question. He is despised here and doesn't know it. https://threadex.rcc-acis.org/
  7. Wut? Geezer what exactly is your problem. I just wanted to share my site for free. Why the hate?
  8. Os are 1-12 against teams above .500 lol Let that sink in.
  9. Based on this week’s dailies, I predict that the Mon 3.4 RONI release will be the same (+0.4) or up 0.1.
  10. Yesterday
  11. The batch that moved thru here and now East CT is yours next. Should end up in the .40-.50 range
  12. I believe the last real super elnino was 1998-99 and that didn't result in a snowy winter for mid Atlantic. But the strong elnino of 82-83 Did give us a snowy winter. Soo. Sort of a crap shoot to see what we get this coming winter. But hurricane activity should be less this summer. In my opinion
  13. I taught you all about winter wx.
  14. Will be not much more than .25”
  15. I wonder what the upcoming winter will bring? Knowing our luck maybe several freezing rain events.
  16. Yea, the pump back operation is pretty interesting. Our property at Leesville lake is near the head of the lake so it's pretty cool when they let it loose. I've kayaked the "surge" from the visitor center to our ramp area. Its not rough or whitewater or anything like that but you move down stream pretty quick lol. The double lake pump back operation is 1 of only 2 in the world. They release during peak demand and pump back during low demand when rates are lower. Free money glitch for the power company lol. Leesville lake can go up and down as much as 10' a day. I've been fishing from shore during big releases and you get chased uphill haha. Leesville is 3.5k acres and smith is over 20k. A full 10' pump back can only raise Smith 1' though so they can't balance the levels in that direction. Smith has an annual draw down in the fall/winter after peak boating season but it's usually short lived. Like a few weeks. We haven't had full pool since last summer and having it so low during peak season is tickin' a lot of people off. No quick fix this time. It's going to take a lot of rain to get back to full pool. Record low is 788.30 looking at the levels data but it happened in 1977 and not 1968 like the news said. I should call and correct them haha
  17. I’m so frustrated with the start of this golf season. I’ve played every Saturday (40 degrees and rain/wind). The two non-Saturday rounds I’ve played have been 30+ mph winds. Like my scores are bad as a result and it’s mentally crushing me.
  18. With the rain fizzling out this week (again); thought I'd share some maps from WB JB. WB CFSv2 (control) that even he acknowledges may be wishful thinking for the upcoming winter. If only.... Will keep these maps. If I am understanding him correctly, JB thinks cooler water off Australia is critical for our chances of any East coast cold air this winter. I will be watching that factor.
  19. Had a nice line run through while I was dropping the family off at the outlets in Deer Park. It was absolutely pouring for about 5 minutes on the way back to the house. Luckily, they got into the theater before it started. Beautiful early evening sun, might get a quick dog walk in.
  20. Did they seem generous with credits or did you have to keep upgrading?
  21. I think it's very good. Haven't played around with it much. Can you link to thredex data?
  22. there are more than enough smart and willing people that can code/compile/edit an app that simple, and inexpensively
