  1. Past hour
  2. For NYC it was September 4th. I think you wanted to know for JFK, I don't have the data but would bet it works out close to that.
  3. I'm staying in the city this weekend and the mosquitoes are out of control here. It's nothing like this in the swamps of Calvert or on the mountain. They just swarm out of the sewer grates and descend on you in the city. I'm lucky that I don't actually get mosquito bites, but that doesn't mean I like it when they bite me.
  4. I have hundreds flying around my yard today with no nests I can find. Same deal at work. I've been getting complaints from my restauranteur clients about them constantly pestering diners.
  5. I have not seen many yellow jackets over the last few years. Went to Red Robin for dinner and sat outside and had one fly around our food but that legit may have been the first I saw this year
  6. Yellow jackets have been insane this year.
  7. Just had a big spider race across the bed…came out from under the blankets. That sucker was flying. Now I’m all freaked out there might be another. Not even sure what kind it was…didn’t have my glasses on. Hoping it wasn’t a wolf spider
  8. High 82 during HHH low 63 during low dews now 68. It's called evaporative cooling.
  9. Today
  10. It's all about me though! Well me and my very dry yard.
  11. Uh, strong t-storm moving through south metro right now. Probably won't hit you but shows convection is definitely still on the table this evening.
  12. Bridgeport, Islip, New York City (Central Park, JFK, LaGuardia), Newark, and White Plains had high temperatures that were within 3° of one another for the 4th consecutive day. The last time there were four consecutive days with such a narrow range was December 23-26, 2022.
  13. Highs EWR: 85 TEB: 85 New Brnswck: 85 LGA: 84 ISP: 84 PHL: 84 BLM: 83 NYC: 83 TTN: 83 JFK: 82 * missing intra hour highs yet again ACY: 80
  14. Yes, they hired the firm that advised InBev on Bud Light's glorious campaign.
  15. Today's the best weather we have had in a long time. No more of that smoke haze crap either. I hope September is like today was, with a rain event maybe once or twice a week at most.
  16. Amazing how much the bugs have died down from the cool spell. Sitting out on my patio and there's hardly a mosquito. Excluding yellow jackets unfortunately.
