  1. Past hour
  2. EURO is dry as a gourd. This is no improvement over the GFS.
  3. MU ain't playing around with the wind threat: NW winds of 20-40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph will buffet the region on Sat. In addition, temps will plunge into the teens Sat morning with wind chills as low as -15°F throughout the day and -20 to -25°F at night. Exposed skin could develop frostbite in just 10-15 minutes. Roadways may be littered with debris from the high winds, as well. Uninsulated/unprotected pipes may freeze or burst, and widespread power outages are also likely. Stock up on extra water, food, blankets, coats, flashlights and other supplies late this week. Make sure you have a backup generator too. In the event of a power outage, the internal temp of your house may drop to unsafe levels in just 12-24 hours. Finally, fill your vehicle's gas tank to prevent fuel lines from freezing.
  4. Unfortunately there's no do all end all for ice and compacted snow, if you don't want to completely kill yourself or have it sliding off a spade shaped shovel you need to break it up with something narrow and scoop it up with something wide if you wanna make it easy on yourself.
  5. AI ends the run with another trough in the east, but no snow unfortunately.
  6. I’ve had almost just as many single digit numbers as 2015 but I’m in “pine barrens” area
  7. Euro is much colder this run for next weekend but can't see surface maps yet. WB 12Z EURO.
  8. This is very telling (add most of the Triad to CLT):
  9. Yeah my wind gusts were updated to 50 from 43mph earlier. Sigh.
  10. Come on, you're smart enough to know better surely.
  11. The AI gives birth last Tuesday, loses interest and cancels. Now, brings it back today and gives Augusta, 4 inches of snow on the 15th. I want to see the old time EURO in a few minutes.
  12. lol models have no clue. this is the run to run change, not regular 500mb
  13. Euro OP is also similar for 2/11. Nothing huge but perhaps advisory snowfall.
  14. They really haven't though. 2024 featured the 6th warmest April on record at Detroit, and your last "cold" April was in 2022. Even then, it was a mere 2 degrees below average, so nothing to write home about. I haven't said anything about how April will shape up this year as I have no idea what will happen (way too early), but if we're basing forecasts on how our recent weather months shaped up (which isn't entirely correct to do), I'd def lean warmer than average. Also still waiting to see how this supposed PV split will shake up the pattern. Cold may favor the West instead (assuming it even does happen).
  15. Congrats BID. This will change but nice to see. Hope TBLIZZ gets smoked
  16. Posted by JB a few hours ago: Northeast likely Never Pulls out of BN pattern Opinions?
  17. Skynet is a joke about Euro and GFS AI. The saying comes from the movie Terminator when Skynet was the agency that controlled the machines
