  1. Past hour
  2. There was a "blizzard" on Friday, December 26, 1947 that dropped 26" on NYC. Do we have data available to see if this area was impacted by that storm and what the setup was in the days prior?
  3. The ensembles are starting to somewhat extend the pacific jet in the extended. I believe that will be a game changer if it comes to fruition
  4. Verbatim Thats a pretty quick mover . In and out in about 8 hours. Seems like the further south it goes, it becomes a bit more sheared out and a bit quicker moving as well
  5. That would turn me as optimistic as you for at least 3 winters
  6. It’s nothing Like it used to be for me. Frustrate/disappoint slightly…sure. But let it get me angry, or numb lol…it just doesn’t. And I’m glad. But everybody is different.
  7. My reply from earlier just posted. My phone really fouled up tonight. It's sticking and closing out on me. Tan cleaner and took some things off but still not up to par.
  8. It definitely doesn’t seem to bother you if it doesn’t snow, not nearly as much as people posting about how it bothers them .
  9. This is the link I where I found the information on Alaska. https://www.currentresults.com/Weather-Extremes/US/lowest-temperatures-alaska.php
  10. I don’t know, I’m somewhere in your age bracket and I still let it frustrate me sometimes. It’s pretty much why I stopped watching sports, because I feel ridiculous tensing up and yelling at the TV.
  11. A few seconds of graupel here in Columbia- fringed!
  12. Seems we are in a bit of uncharted territory here with the analogs. I wonder what the AI's take is with this. Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk
  13. -80 in Prospect Creek Alaska Jan. 23 1971. It was coldest US Record. Coldest lower 48 is -70 Rogers Pass Montana in 1954. -83 NA Record in Snag. Yukon.
  14. GYX is holding off until the last possible minute to go to a warning for some here.
  15. 8-10 years from now..when your my age…it won’t bother you as much anymore. And that’s the truth.
  16. Another winter of hands just like two balloons.
  17. It appears the model spread has it really being from Yarmouth/Freeport - Belfast extending inland to your area. We'll know in 36 hours in any case.
  18. I try not to let it get to me, but it’s been a little bit maddening. My last accumulating snow was almost 3 weeks ago yet it’s been plenty cold and I still need to heat the house.
  19. HRRR (01z), RRFS, and ICON are a little juicier than the NAM: 0.2 - 0.3 liquid for NYC. Heaviest band could be fairly narrow. Snow accumulations along coastal plain likely intensity dependent. So far no obvious change at 0z.
  20. I thought you might appreciate this swipe at models Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk
