  1. Past hour
  2. I'm just needling you. Have a healthy and happy new year.
  3. Getting out of dinner and it’s a dendrite snow globe. 14 cold degrees.
  4. So not writing off a whole month on the very first day of the month, is all sunshine and lollipops now? Ya, I don’t think so Ken. I love how people conflate things and turn them into something else completely. Appreciate it pal.
  5. Yeah, the 12Z EPS gives me hope. About all we know with decent confidence based on model consensus is that there will probably be a 4-5 day long torch (sound familiar?) mainly mid to next week. That covers Jan 6-10. After that, it’s a crap-shoot. If the 12Z EPS were to verify well, then things could be getting more interesting starting the week after next regardless of what todays EWs showed. By the way, the EW is essentially an extension of the 0Z EPS.
  6. I need to bank on warmer spring months to offset boring thunderless summers lately.
  7. Did she have a lot of sticky gunk coughing up?
  8. I just getting over one of the colds, I don't think I had the super flu but it's gnarly on the lungs.
  9. Thanks CAPE. Not germane to this thread but when Googling I came across a Wikipedia article on the Ridiculously Resilient Ridge which was our friend in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. Of general interest so I link to it here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ridiculously_Resilient_Ridge
  10. We don't need 2 of me around here ya' know.
  11. This maybe? And a non belief in sunshine and lollipops?
  12. What if we went over a tipping point after March 2018 that makes snow that month next to unheard of? Similar XKCD: https://xkcd.com/1321/
  13. I think some have had wayyyh to much champagne
  14. I’ll even take upper 30s with no wind. The wind is what makes this month terrible
  15. I'm always ready for a debate on the futility of March snow. This list of snowfall totals from the last nine Marches tells the whole story: It was difficult enough BEFORE this...but since 2016? One year where we nickel and dimed our way to just over 6. And I get slightly annoyed when folks bring up March 1993 as if a super rare generational storm is an example of how you can count on March snow if the rest of winter doesn't work out.
  16. “A little bit of snow” is really common IMBY. Lots of minor lake effect dusters. People who don’t know how to drive on snow really shouldn’t live here. Very typical winter pattern right now.
  17. Why do we let the far left of fun weather in herei please just do weather for the view !
