  1. Past hour
  2. Urban flooding in old Town winchester. Some crazy videos on Facebook. PWS shows 2".
  3. I saw a couple when I was out with the dog, one landed on the leash. I just hate the deer flies.
  4. Dragon flies are your friend, They even pick off the horseflies too, It was a mostly cloudy day here with a high of 76°F, Looks like a warm week with some showers up here.
  5. I’ve seen a few dragonflies so far this season. They will start growing in number.
  6. So did I. Figured it was a bit further away seeing as it was sunny outside then, lol
  7. Spraying sucks. No. Attract more dragonflies.
  8. My next-door neighbor does it every year, I think they all move to my yard.
  9. I get attacked every night when I walk my dog, deer flies are becoming a problem now too, funny when they go after my dog, she gets pissed.
  10. Summehry look…in the summeh? No way…
  11. I ran the numbers for June 24 using both regression equations: Pre-2000: 101.9; 2000-Present: 99.5; there's little doubt that absent the dense tree cover that was largely not present prior to 2000, Central Park would have surpassed 100° on June 24. Below are the predicted vs. actual highs for Central Park during June 22-25, 2025.
  12. That stuff I think is natural. It’s garlic oil and some other stuff. But yeah mosquitoes suck
  13. Some friends of ours in town use some service. It is guaranteed. If you see a mosquito (or tick) they come back the next day and spray again. Im not a huge fan of spraying because it harms other insects. But it is tempting. Screen porch ftw as well.
  14. My cousin lives in Bridgewater by the Taunton river. The mosquitoes there will gnaw your arm off and fly it back to their nest. They used this treatment that was comprised of garlic oil and said it really worked. Was done by some company. So I think there’s options for you.
  15. Feb 2006. But yea I remember when they adjusted January 2016 to be above that storm and become number 1. Feb 2006 was uber fluff anyway and that 26.9 inches was snowboard derived plus ultra local, I had closer to 20. January 2016 had 30 inches DEPTH and over a very large area, it was BS for that storm to not be number 1.
  16. Today
  17. Sorry - I stole your rain. 0.30” here.
  18. Some of our neighbors treat for mosquitoes. Hubbardston is a giant swampy forest. So unless you drop a ton of DDT, the mosquitoes would laugh. Foggers work a bit for a few hours. We didn’t plan on doing the fire tonight so I didn’t have any on hand.
  19. As soon as Stein hit last week , yes much less mosquitoes. Lawns are furnacing brown in sun
  20. Lantern Flies? If they are, destroy them.
  21. Seems like mosquitoes not as bad this week as it’s been dry here locally.
  22. What about yard foggers? Or maybe treatments for the property? Maybe not cheap but allows you to enjoy the outdoors.
  23. I know I'm jinxing myself but they haven't been too bad in southborough. Although I don't stay out much past dark. Certainly leave your phone in the house. Mosquitoes love 'em.
  24. Good news. That should give Japan second thoughts before attacking Pearl Harbor again.
  25. I am also thinking that maybe we started the solo a bit too early. The stupid pricks calm down a bit as it gets darker
