  1. Past hour
  2. I have a beach tent I use when I go to the beach and still get enough sun even sitting underneath it.
  3. Yeah best spring ever. Loving those warm lows at midnight and muted daytime highs.
  4. He lives like in York, PA (or somewhere near there) doesn’t he? Maybe it's BYB (back yard bias)
  5. I have tournaments Monday, 6/2, 6/5 and 6/11. I also have a standing tee time Saturday’s at 6am.
  6. I was just wondering which chemical in it were unhealthy and why....if you know offhand, great...otherwise I am sure I can look it up.
  7. We evolved with the sun. We need the sun. We need to make that vitamin D. But it’s just a matter of not overdoing it. Killing skin cells isn’t good. I would wear it if I had to be in the sun for awhile…beach, game, etc. I used to laugh at those tanning beds that claimed you could get a tan without a burn. They’re essentially just UVA. The wavelengths are longer and go deeper into your skin versus UVB. The UVB does faster damage to the surface skin, but your body quickly gets the signal and tells you to gtfo of the sun. The UVA is different and leads to a lot of those deeper melanoma cases. That’s why truck drivers get skin cancer on their left side often…the side window glass blocks UVB but not UVA.
  8. We can still get cutoffs into mid June-just won't be 48-52, more like 55-57...
  9. 5.45 Duxbury. Most of state of massachusetts shellfish beds shut down . Luckily we harvested yesterday for mem day weekend business.
  10. Don't have to worry about sunburn when you wear layers!
  11. I’ll gladly where the sunscreen after watching my mom have a chunk taken out of her face and my dad out of his arm. It was painful and invasive. Weve truly gone off the rails in this country where people can’t wear sunscreen without it being a discussion
  12. Better than a month away.
  13. There are some that have questionable ingredients in them. But you can shop around and get some that might be more pasty on you...but can still use them and rub them in. Usually those are more organic...or kid friendly. The bottom line is that the sun has so much more risk than any sunscreen. I love the sun, but I put on block when I need to.
  14. Summer looks at least a week away.
  15. *peeks head out* Is it over? Is the cold rainstorm over with? Are we finally moving to summer?
  16. Sunscreens in general are pretty bad. The better ones no one wants to use because you literally cover yourself in paste. But yeah, getting scorched for hours isn’t good either. Covering up or knowing when to get shade is best, but you can’t always do that…just gotta do what works best for you.
  17. Today
  18. You thought wrong my friend. It's not impossible, it just gets more and more unlikely.
  19. Make America Healthy Again. Another dumb idea forwarded by our stupid admin. We should all get melanoma instead.
  20. The return of the sun will be quite welcome
  21. Yesterday's high temperature at East Nantmeal tied the Chester County record set 116 years ago for the chilliest high temperature for the date. That record of 52 degrees was set at both Coatesville and Phoenixville way back in 1909. Here in East Nantmeal we have received 1.33" of rain over the past 2 days we are now 0.31" above normal for rainfall here in 2025. We start to dry out today with only a small chance of some showers. We look to stay well below normal through Sunday before we moderate to about 5 degrees below normal by Memorial Day. Temperatures look likely to remain below normal for the next week. Our next shower chances arrive later on Tuesday.
