It looks nice outside but it's definitely on the low end of the 4-8" predictions, lower than that actually. We had 1-2 hours of moderate snow and that's about it. We'll see how the rest of the night plays out.

Nashville got close to 8" in January 03 . That was a LP System. SE KY got 8" ftom it as it tracked ene. We got 5" here as we were on the eastern flank and got bands. The solid concentrated area ran from Central Tn up through SEKY and on into West Va.

I will try & find it. It was early 2000’s because my wife & I had moved into our first house. As matter of fact we bet who could build the best snowman. She was actually pregnant with our son. Of course I won the best snowman contest. Lol. Just don’t ask her for proof. lol. So it was between 2000-2003. My son was born in June of 2003. Found it.

1.75” 1” per hour. First Time I’ve seen that in 3 Years. Roads are ALMOST 12/13/2007 levels in RI. Just drove for an hour all over. FINALLY got to be the guy that passes Everyone by 20mph instead of the other way around lol. Got Free KFC at the Drive Thru Too!

I remember that 1994 ice storm. I remember the green lights all over from the transformers blowing. The trees in my yard were toast. Was hard to watch them breaking into pieces. I love the outdoors & nature. I pray we never see an ice storm in these parts ever again.

The SPC has expanded the Day 3 marginal risk for severe weather to include portions of the Pittsburgh region. Something to keep an eye out for on Sunday.

Dammm. Nobody is immune to those busts. I can recall a lot of those …especially when I was growing up in the 80’s. I can feel the pain/disappointment. there will be more chances. 6-10” is what we were forecast to get for here…we got it. Pushing 8” and still snowing lightly.

Did someone say clipper!!!!! I agree with what Carver said earlier. I also believe this is going to be like some of the older winters used to have. I could be way wrong but heck it sure is fun watching & hoping.

I love it. Crazy right! I am prepared for my son got me one of those ski mask covers that you pull over your mouth. I can’t remember what they are called. It actually goes around the neck. Having my lungs damaged from Covid & asthma. It helps to keep the air I breath in not as cold. Yep I’m jabbering away.

I have 1.8 so far. I snowed and sleeted for 2 hrs than dry slotted for 2.5 hrs . Now just light snow . 6-10 was forecast by nws . Will be lucky if I reach 2

Right around 2” inches Jersey City. Still coming down.

thanks thats helpful to know for Brooklyn I dont know why this map has like 0 reports in NJ and around NYC. I know theres at least 1-2" there. I think upton does this thing where they dont post anything under 2, thats why you only see tenths of an inch and generally reports less than 2 in the PHI CWA. https://www.weather.gov/source/crh/snowmap.html

Managing to snow again here. One great thing about this storm has been good snowflake growth and size. If only we managed to get the qdf or avoid the warm air aloft

Thats crazy,you sure this wasnt from LP?I i mean clippers are weak until they hit the Plateau,in general if you get 2 inches here thats a nice clipper.I remember tho when i lived in Lawrenceburg we got the lake effect snow from the Great Lakes that lasted about three days,didnt add up to much,i got tired of it snowing,didnt even hardly put a dusting down,just light snow or flakes
