Euro nailed the screw zone for Plymouth and Bristol county down to the cape. Minus the last storm, as usual, take the lowest model, and that’s your event here -

I missed the big storm too as I was in England for my dad's funeral. Shit happens. Enjoy the snow. Or don't. I'm happy other people are being buried. Eventually we all have our moments. Your climo means you have them more often than all the places you think are "winning" this time. -
Something that I was just thinking about that we never see here in New England for some reason is ground blizzards. I know that they are super common in the Midwest but is there a reason why we never see them around here? I always thought it would be fun to experience one. Full whiteout conditions with a clear blue sky. Has this area ever experienced something like that before?

Currently Snow. Blowing snow. 14F Deep winter vibe in this neck of the woods today.

I’m pointing out the facts. If you want me to post every map I will. Sorry they offend you. Instead of attacking, why don’t you explain how it’s Meteorologically Possible to get Beaten in All 4 directions 3 times in a winter when you live in the Lincoln to Attleboro region. That I would be Highly Interested in. -

Yeah it’s getting breezy here. Still spitting flakes with some peeks of sun, but it’s essentially ovah. Now we drop. At least the chickens got another sneaky good afternoon in the run. -

Just looked at gefs, and you’re right on that one. But 12z EPS doesn’t cut and is actually better for us than 0z or 6z. Still sticking with the undercutting the block idea, while 12z gefs links up ridging preventing the s/w from undercutting -

1. I Only got Home 4 Days Ago. 2. The Snow Needed to be sledded on Immediately after, as with big storms, as the compound is too much to cut through. I didn’t get home until 9 days after. 3. I Didn’t Clear the trails this year because we had NO Winter Until January 18th. I Left the 20th. 4. 2.5” today. You want me to be excited? -

I mean, if narcissism was a meteorological model, that's what it would look like. We aren't in a race. Nobody is stealing your snow. Mostly you'll do better, as you just arrested to, in a roundabout way. -

These inverted trough setups are very fickle and sometimes work out/sometimes don’t. This looked to be one for a few days that could work out and models did a good job focusing on the places that would do well. Ratios are also very high in the places that could get good snow growth in the banding some people in E CT/parts of MA will get 12”. Boston will probably make it to 6”. Too bad it couldn’t get together a little sooner and blast more of us.
-
No model showed the twin forks getting 6-9” of snow. Hoping those bands keep pushing west…
