  1. Past hour
  2. well you know how I feel about this, the reason it was so much easier to hit 100 in years like 1993, 1999, 2010 (not to mention 1944, 1948, 1949, 1953, 1955, 1966) was because it was so much drier back then. Lower humidity means less clouds and drier air is easier to heat up
  3. 7/3/66, hottest day I've experienced (8/2/75 the only day even close). However, CON records begin in 1921 so no numbers for July 1911 when ASH hit 106.
  4. Looks like we're not the only one who b****** about inaccurate sites.
  5. Picked up 0.01" here. May overperformed forecasts, June nasomuch - running about 50% of average. Not much sun though the humidity is here.
  6. Glad I could bring a taste of the desert heat back with me.
  7. Breezy here now too. Makes a difference in comfort level with the clouds in place.
  8. Looks like clouds have capped us. Hit 98F
  9. They made it here, as it is very nice outside presently with a breeze and a passing shower, mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow back to reality, in a bad way.
  10. I'm thinking I'll break a hundred In the woodyard. Temperature is pretty consistent with Norwood.
  11. Currently 85 here and swamp ass muggy under partly sunny skies. Full clearing now moving SE quickly from NW Sussex County. Should be totally sunny here within the next 60-90 minutes. https://www.meteo.psu.edu/ewall/PSUGOES_PA2/loop60v.html
  12. 82/73 here with a good breeze. A little muggy but enjoying it outside before the furnace kicks on.
  13. High of 87.4 on my weather station. Tremendous bust.
  14. Amazing it just has such a tendency to be cloudy of late, clouds clinging - so hard to clear out
  15. Notice when we have ridges of this magnitude and strong, the heat overperforms - assuming enough clearing and no seabreeze, outside of central park.
  16. I already mentioned this also this morning. https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html
  17. end of the week and next weekend look great!! Enjoy the crazy warmth while you got it
  18. MAV is going big. Close to the all-time record of 102F (done once) in CON.
  19. JFK 5th, 6th and 12th had light rainfall in Aug 1995
  20. Ready for Fall. F@#! this S@#!
  21. For the Euro we once knew, it is. I don't think it's quite as good today. WX/PT
  22. I consider 98 as a bust when the Euro is saying 106 still.
  23. Yep. Some of the guidance has had dews mixing back into the 68-70 range by mid-afternoon, and that hasn't happened. The result is slightly lower ambients.
  24. If it wasn't for the dewpoints today would have felt pretty decent. There's a strong breeze and temps are tolerable.
