Spring 2026 Pattern Discussion Thread
Carvers Gap replied to Carvers Gap's topic in Tennessee Valley
After the severe window, both the 12z GEM and Euro have a fairly pronounce trough sliding through the East...and maybe more than one. That will also have to be watched. That type of setup can get squirrely. Really, the severe setup followed by cold/snow showers is not without precedent.- 4 replies

I woke very upset that there were no breaks in the clouds to see and photograph the lunar eclipse (it was the last one until 2029). I tried to punch through the cloud deck with my drone as a backup but the layer was just too thick.

The NE Banana Belt today is BTV to MLT, 10-15° warmer than ORE-EEN area (and warmer than anywhere in SNE). Morch #sunangle doing it's job.

It's March. Everyone gets cold rain and wind except maybe the top of the Catoctins.

Probably close to tipping there. CC is right there to Seymour. Hopefully you guys stay on the good side.
-
I was under a great band this morning, quite possibly the best flakes all season.
-
March 15th-18th look prime for a big snowstorm for the northeast. I will keep an eye on that timeframe until than we are warm and mostly rainy!
-
They should hire @The 4 Seasons to make a HIRES one ..
