The thermometer in my old Ford Fusion was surprisingly accurate. It would always match KMPV or my PWS. I could be up near the airport, look at my car thermo and then see what the obs were it was spot on.

It might stay in the low 70s on Friday. I think we'll welcome a cool cloudy day after this tremendous heat.

The dew point was 80 with a 102 temp. Not as extreme today.

My truck's thermo is so inaccurate, It runs 4-5°F to warm, I guess if you go with its bias you can guess close to actual during travel.

So far today across Chester County the majority of spots have seen high temperatures in the low to mid 90's. The big exception of course was at KOQN Brandwine Airport with a high so far of 98.6. The next hottest station was at the West Chester MADIS station at 95.9. Other Chester County highs so far - Avondale 93.2 / East Nantmeal 92.1 / West Grove 92.4 / Glenmoore 93.9 / Chester Springs 95.6 and KMQS 95.0

At least we are a little later in June so it's not as bad as earlier this month but still a continuation of that same theme...

I agree. The nights have been very warm and muggy. The high temps have underachieved each day, although you and I discussed that as a likely scenario before the heatwave even started. Yesterday was surprisingly more oppressive than today. I expected today to be the worst.

Hi all... Just popping in with my current data. My official station has hit 99.3 degrees back at 3:13 and is now 98.6 with a dew point of 75.5 degrees and a heat index of 113 degrees. My backup station which is located about 15 feet away is currently 99.7 degrees after hitting a high of 100.2 and a current dew point of 75.7. This combination is producing a heat index of 114 degrees. The 100.2 now breaks last year's highest temp of 100.0 degrees by 0.2 degrees. It's horrible out!! I'll be back with final numbers this evening. Stay cool...

In honor of this heat wave, decided to take an early look in the crystal ball and determined that June will end with an average temp of 74.0, good for ~1.4 AN and tied with 1923 for 12th warmest all-time. Book it.

Just drove past CON on I-93 and the car thermometer was bouncing 95-98F. Heading to Boston for the night.

Amazing to think we can go from this to backdoor drizzly gunk on Thu and Fri. GFS is back to strong easterly wind misery those two days.

Yep, this is high end stuff even though the actual highs of 95+ haven't happened for many yet. When you have widespread 105-110 HI, that's dangerous to be out in for very long.
