  1. Past hour
  2. Feb '23 was brief but real good. Montreal Express. Models are waffling on whether this is run of the mill Arctic cold or exotic stuff that's coming in about a week. We'll see what happens.
  3. Idk but I muted 2 people… maybe can guess who? It’s been much quieter haha
  4. I'm half dead to be honest. I'm only here because I was dying of thirst and got water.
  5. Just came home from church with our daughter. Everything looks like Currier & Ives. Light snow now... Looking forward to the steadier and heavier snow later today and tonight.
  6. Barely functioning this AM. What the hell happened in here last night?? I see posts were hidden. Shenanigans!
  7. Doubt it, it didn’t start accumulating until a few hours in. I’d say coating to 0.5 at most but I’m just eyeballing from my apartment.
  8. For sure Ward. Seems like this winter and last winter we have no problem getting the cold but the moisture is either north of us or south of us. I saw where even down into Destin FL saw flakes this morning. We will get ours. This pattern of misses won't continue. Great job friend.
  9. @stormtracker how're ya doin? Are ya ready to do GFS PBP?
  10. not sure how accurate the HRRR is or how much stock we should put into it. They didn't even have a lull for most of us. And where the precipitation has been lighter, there has been white rain along the shorelines with temps spiking up a bit. Rest of the storm will hinge on the snow this evening.
  11. The one on 110 is excellent. Can get lost in that store
  12. Lots of bright banding over triangle right now. Sad thing is we did actually end up with solid QPF, 0.25” so far and raining moderate. Cold chasing moisture rarely works but Georgia is the perfect example why- areas south enough where cold didn’t have to go over mountains are snowing. Pretty textbook look into why it’s 40 and raining here but 32 with 1-3” there
  13. For areas to the west like jersey, where i saw lots of rain reports, that maybe true but a lot of Long Island started out colder then forecast and as all snow, for the most part....
  14. Crazy Cartoon Horse sighting !! Sure was pretty, wasn't it. It's stopped now in Macon and my temp is up to 34deg now. Had a good Jeb-walk while it was still pouring. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned but it's only two days away from the anniversary of last years southern snow event.
  15. That 14z HRRR looks solid for this area later this afternoon. Gonna rock for quite a few hours.
  16. Remember this portion of storm was a bonus. Real stuff is tonight.
  17. Bout a half inch so far. Need better rates. Currently the type of snow that is bare under trees
  18. I was just about to post that it looks to me like the radar down in the mid Atlantic is heading more northeast. I’m sure it will still give a good snowstorm to southeast New England but I don’t think I’m getting one to 3 inches up here unless there’s some sort of inverted trough.
  19. At Smithville, GA, 10 miles S of Americus, 2-3” reported by EM:1002 AM SNOW SMITHVILLE 31.90N 84.26W 01/18/2026 E3.0 INCH LEE GA EMERGENCY MNGR 2 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW REPORTED IN SMITHVILLE BY LEE COUNTY EM. SOME ACCUMULATION ON DIRT ROADS WITH ICY PATCHES ON SPOTS IN PAVED ROADS.
  20. A painful amount of “close but no cigar” setups in WNC for a while now. We’re snow starved down in the foothills but yall kinda are too. Ik nwf happens frequently but it feels like it’s been a century since anyone west of I-77 has seen a synoptic setup.
  21. needed to use the snow blower when returning from Boston last night
  22. We had 10 minutes of light rain and thats it. NW trend did some work but not enough. Nice downsloping cold wind blowing now
