  1. Past hour
  2. For some reason they tried to make it like the today show sitting around chatting about the weather in Dubuque while drinking coffee
  3. You're definitely still in the game but may be right on the edge. You probably go towards Naugatuck/Waterbury and chances drop quite a bit.
  4. Counter to a few mesos being suppressed, the ECM-AI has ticked northeast with the precip. shield over the past 3 cycles. It's also interesting to note that it's on the opposite end of the envelope from the GFS-AI, which remains on the southern periphery.
  5. Speaking of dog sleds my 12 year old psychotic boxer is gonna get the cops called on us. She refuses to come inside when its snowing. I have to chase her down and carry her in and she throws a fit like a toddler.
  6. Going to be wild-I could see nothing here to maybe 5 inches lol
  7. Like I said, things just didn't line up properly for a lot of Southern New England. But it wasn't a total loss. Southern areas of Connecticut got a decent amount of snow at the last system. And I believe out in the cape there was a decent amount of snow from that system as well. Just wait .... We are going to do much better after the new year. The pattern is definitely shifting in that direction as a whole.
  8. Watches likely to be issued for southern mi this afternoon. Even though it's for ice, still makes it feel more festive with a potential winter-type storm looming. Better than what it looked like a week ago when they were talking about mid 60's.
  9. lol 14 inches for Baltimore! Need to find what this model is smoking.
  10. We did 8000+ this year as a community. I have like 200 in my garage that neighbors are supposed to help distribute and light.
  11. To be fair i kinda despise all the teams involved in that drama so i was happy no matter what lol
  12. Cautiously optimistic I will see more snow .. I’m on the Fairfield county line. In SW SEYMOUR
  13. When I got 6.5” on December 2, I never would’ve guessed I would finish the month with only 7”. Unreal.
  14. I think it won't make it there until at least 6 or 7
  15. Pft, immediate metro? My geographical understanding is the arctic circle starts at the Tappan Zee bridge. If I have to take a dog sled to your location that’s not immediate.
  16. Good catch, I had not thought of that one. I need to get my head back into the bowls, the CFP selection tainted my view a couple weeks ago... @BxEngine can relate and/or was jumping for joy I'm sure...
  17. How's Europe doing so far? They seeing snow or cold? They been brutally hot past few summers i know curious how there winters have been. If anyone knows
  18. Going to be a wild gradient that is for sure. Started getting excited seeing all these QPF maps posted and QPF trends only to get reeled back in looking deeper. I think I would feel cautiously optimistic though if I were in Greenwich or Stamford, New Canaan, Darien...maybe even Norwalk. And I say cautiously optimistic because they should at least get accumulating snow...just a question of whether that's 2-3" or something closer to 5-6" lol.
  19. If there's anything I've learned from Baltimore specifically, it's that we rarely pull off the rate-driven p-type change. Maybe because of urban heat island or something, idk. But I can't remember a case of "rates will get us the snow we need" working out for us. If a last minute miracle was to appear for this, wouldn't feel comfortable here if it was solely depending on rates.
  20. Far from over. If we keep the cold in place for January and February.... Our Snow changes go up significantly. Things aren't what we would like right now, but pattern wise, our chances look promising going into the next few months. Just let this crap pattern go for this month. Don't dwell on it.
  21. Friday night looks like a battle between the US models whiffing SW CT and the non-US giving a decent event for Western/SW CT.
  22. I'm flying into HPN around 3PM-4PM Friday afternoon. Am I correct in thinking that thus far, it is looking like a start time late afternoon (with moderate snow not starting till dinnertime or afterwards) and that ceilings shouldn't be too bad yet around my arrival time? Appreciate any help. Merry Christmas.
