lol any discussion of a SSW event in August for the upcoming Fall probably means we are totally fucked.
-
Really? Enfield (where I work) always got more rain than here. Well, in pop up TS that is. That’s definitely not the case now
-
My mother in law was at her friends in Atlantic Beach. She is saying they had a tornado before. I just got home. Wild ride.

Did the strength of the first line which exploded NYC east and back built caused the second wave in central and north NJ be a nothing burger? Its light to moderate rain at best and restatyed at 650 and ending in 10 minutes. moving fast which has been commented but seems like the energy got sucked out of it.

Impressive damage path from eastern York into Columbia. It's unfortunate that CTP left York and Lancaster counties out of the Tornado Watch. -

0.94 here in my backyard in the LV and just missed the heavier stuff. It looks like the regional winners were northern Philly burbs, northeastern Lehigh Valley, most of Delaware, and the jackpot of inland South Jersey. Outside of our area it looks like central PA got walloped with rain, State College, Altoona, that area. -
1.74” so far in Carteret.
-
1.65" here so far. Glad to get a nice soaking but not the flooding.

Backside winds were impressive for this event. Nothing with the oncoming of the storm, but the backside winds had our power flicking on and off, and had the trees bending quite a bit. -
Racing east-might be over by 9-10pm for most

Mostly brightbanding with plain -RA at the sfc. Probably good ratios at H5 -
Between 17:51 and 18:51 Central Park reported 1.82. The rain at 17:26 at my city point is still moderate to heavy, as always ….
-
Over 2" here and still coming down pretty good (though the backend is fast approaching).
-
Seems like it’s a manageable event. 2” for most areas and nothing crazy
