We have experienced a bit of a lull in storm activity this afternoon but that should change as we head into the evening. With the heating of the day kicking in, the upper level low shifting in from the west and a cold front bearing down upon us, we should see moer showers and storms building into the region through 10PM. There's a slight chance we could have a severe storm this evening with some hail and damaging winds

Have a storm right on my doorstep, but looks like I'll miss this current one.  Formed just a couple miles north of here.  More back to the west though so still a decent chance to cash in on something today.

 

Edit:  That part of the storm in western spartanburg just n of 85 looks pretty impressive on radar.  60k tops showing up on base reflectivity.  I don't see that too often.

Unfortunately - did that this time yesterday, except quarter to ping pong ball size. My poor new GMC Terrain ....

 

and the live oaks were stripped
