Hopefully we can sharpen up as we get closer to game time. A month or two from now would be prime for us here. Seasonably chilly day here with plenty of low level moisture. backedgeapproaching
While I enjoy the early foliage with reds/oranges mixed with greens the most, something also enjoyable about the yellows fading at the end of foliage season.

My parents would call that peak back in the day when we lived in New Hampshire. I always thought their idea of peak was behind mine, like you, greens mixed in is good. Their take was if there was pretty much any any green its not peak. That's one of the things I like about the foliage season though it can be a little different for everyone and yet beautiful regardless. Great photos, as is tradition, and thanks to all who post in here, much appreciated.
WxWatcher007
There’s just something so beautiful about watching the seasonal change. Not to wax poetic, but it’s such a wonderful reminder of the ephemeral nature of life. We only get so many of these. Enjoy them all. 5

Yellows against a grey sky offers the best contrast. Love it.

The clouds and mist just kind of set the yellows off.

It looks like the wind this weekend will end fall color up on the Tug Hill and over in the Adirondacks. My favorite phase of fall color is on the backside when there's no green at all.

The previous owners cleared the lot about 15 years ago. The house is pretty old and was surrounded by dense forest for like 50-60 years. Glad they paid for the clearing work.

Getting pretty good mixing down the eastern slope with CAA. 39.9° here. We’ll see how much moisture hangs back. Overnight was prime time for us in my first cold season here last year. Let’s keep that up.

I agree the rusty colors of post peak can sometimes put on their own show. If the leaf drop is not horrible, Smugglers Notch can put on a good post peak show as I recall. This was a shot I got back on 10/17/2015:
