Had a brief shower this morning amounted to just .05". That made it incredibly humid. It is 85/79 at 10:27 am.

0.02" of rain early this morning has put the dew at 78. 86F, feels like 99.

Picked up .17" with this passing cell. Dew now at 81. I don't even want to take the garbage out.

It appears per radar that I’m about to get clobbered with heavy rain. Rain started ~5:50PM.

 Edit: The heaviest rain fell mainly 5:50-6:20PM on Aug 2nd. The total was ~1.75”. Thus I get a break from having to water!

.17 for the day with most of it earlier in the day. One side of my hood had sunshine (home) then the other side had downpours this late afternoon. Cant win them all.  So humid today, gross.

Picked up 0.03” (1.12” daily and MTD total) more yesterday evening but today has trended drier on models as the boundary sagged a little further south. With all the rain, it might be a blessing if we avoid a tropical system this year as grounds are completely saturated despite long term drought impacts. Earlier this summer I was adamant that we needed a tropical system to ease drought conditions but after the past month, it would likely be too much. What a crazy turnaround

A second straight day with a dousing on the way? It just started at 12:30PM and is picking up in intensity as radar confirms.

Slightly annoying as yesterday the moisture axis was 50 miles too far west and today it looks to be 50 miles too far east.  We had a good July but not as spectacular as the Raleigh area and I'd like to keep the momentum going.  NAM 3K suggests Tuesday and Wednesday may be better for me.
