At 1:40 my sis told me that she was in one of the worst popup thunderstorms she’s ever experienced while driving with high winds, very heavy rain, and small hail in Buckhead near Roswell Rd! Temps suddenly plunged from a sunny 90s to 72 on her car therm! It ended about as fast as it started.

95 degrees 15 mins ago, pouring rain in a storm, down to 83!!! Picked up a quick quarter inch so far. Florida like weather here in the ATL area the last month. Strange.

We’re surging temps now, just crossed 103. My goodness this weather sucks

RDU stalled around 97 F for a bit but wondering what is going on there between hours.

This heat today really got to me. Between sweating, feeling light headed at times and stomach was blah.  I'm so done with this crap. It is useless and does no one any good.

RDU did get a new record today at 101. My PWS got to 105.4, probably over done some but not too far off likely.

I was just going through my pics when I lived in New Hampshire and that record snow season in 2008. This was at Franconia Notch in Feb 08.  Gladly take half of this right now.

We have high clouds which may prevent all time records from being set.

Also should start to see some cumulus start to form in the next couple hours. Already popcorn storms over the higher elevations
