canderson
I’ve not seen a snow pile in a month. That’s wild.
pawatch
Temperatures are all over the place this morning. I’m 34 degrees, Montourville is 39 degrees, 7 miles away. Buffalo NY 47 degrees. First grass mow of the season in yesterday. Toro push mower had a hard time starting, that was brand new last year. No fuel shutoff on them. Just run it out of gas last year. This is the remnants from the January storm. In the weeks that followed it was piled over 20' high. That is the only snow that I know of in my general driving area. LCBC Church in Manheim used to have enormous piles years ago but I haven't been by there in a long time. Gotta give a shoutout to Camelback Ski Resort in Tannersville. Not only are they still open, they actually made snow last night! They've already announced that they're extending their ski season into May this year. Should be interesting next week with the onset of VERY warm weather. Here's a look - the base looks really good for this time of year: https://www.camelbackresort.com/resort-information/live-cameras I remember after the blizzard of 93 there was still a snow pile only about 4 inches deep above Millersburg on Memorial Day. That was from the snow that slid off the Mahantango Mountain along rt. 147 north of Millersburg. That pile was created by Penndot when they removed the snow on 147 that was around 10 feet deep in places on the roadway.
