OBS: 1/25-26 Snow/Sleet

Temp up to 17 and DT to 16.  Still mainly sleet here - Monroe, NJ

17/16f here. Heavy snow currently. Even with the sleet its been accumulating for a while. Now the snow is back for more.

Must be absolutely pounding sleet and maybe snow in Manhattan. I think Central Park makes it to 12”.

Burst of heavy sleet now.

Measured about 10" of snow earlier before the changeover. Now a little over 12" of snow and sleet.  Tough to move and terrible for snowballs but I'll take it

My temperature was rising and got up to 24.2 but now it has dropped back down to 23.2 and still seems to be dropping

Still 14 degrees in Bergen. I got about 17" if not a little bit more. Walked the dog and it was knee deep and I am not a small man.

NYC finally hit 20 degrees, with JFK sitting at 22. I'm assuming both will stay below freezing but am less sure about JFK once the coastal makes its closest pass.

What a great storm.  Never experienced significant snow at under 10 degrees.  Maybe it underperformed my unrealistic expectations, but who cares?  About a foot of snow/sleet and frigid conditions.  

Be safe on the roads and when cleaning it all up.

JFK won't go above freezing, if anywhere in the city does maybe the rockaways but doubtful anyone goes above freezing west of Nassau county.

This was from the middle of my parents cul-de-sac in 1961.  I have memories of them doing the same thing years later (but no photographs).  Not sure why they stopped the practice.

Sleet line looks to be riiight at the northern edge of Brick again, hopefully it can push the rain back to the ocean.

Heavy snow, might be the heaviest of the storm, sucks that the back end is closing in though. I got to be up towards 16.5-17”

All snow here again. Backfilling in pa. Keep it coming!!. 14.1 down. Quite a storm for the northern parts of nyc,still going. Just 20-30 miles north of me 20 inches are in sight for them.
